This experience was truly something I'll never forget. There wasn't a single part of my stay I wasn't loving. Jack is hands down the most incredible host. He taught me so much about Elephants and the true reality of what it takes to care for these animals. As well, I learned about his life and culture(including learning some of the language he speaks). I honestly could go on and on about how incredible of a man and host Jack was. I would 100% recommend this to everyone that has the opportunity to do so. It's such a unique and immersive experience that I would do again in a heart beat!

The shelter Elephant Home is one of the most magical places on this Earth! Jack works 24/7, endlessly dedicating his life to conserving elephants in the wild. The connection I felt with nature is like nothing I’ve ever felt. The elephants are truly living in the wild, as it was meant to be. Jack is the most incredible host, making sure we always have our stomachs filled, being comfortable, and having a perfect time. Jack was so happy to show us the life of Kao and Sai Thong and how he takes care of them. This trip changed my perspective as I learned about local customs and the culture. Book it!

The hosts were super accommodating, respected everyone, and everyone's dietary restrictions. The experience with the elephants was amazing; being connected to nature every day was amazing as well, and the food was great. Yes, showers are cold. 100% recommend to others. Must be okay with being in nature and dealing with nature (mud, insects, etc).

The shelter is on of the most special experiences I will have in my entire life, Jack and Detu are phenomenal, caring, insightful, highly skilled and knowledgeable. They have built (from scratch) a homestay which is comfortable with all the key amenities you need, the itinerary for the epic trips leaves very little room for improvement. If you want a week where you make a genuine connection with your surroundings, live off grid, meet some very special people, learn a lot about Karen culture, elephants as well as their maintenance and history, then you need to fo this trip. This was absolutely one of the most magical experiences of my entire life. Jack is such a compassionate and loving caretaker and you can see how much he truly values the elephants as part of the family. His wife provided such clean and fresh meals daily, I have never felt so nourished and taken care of. Living alongside the elephants was just beautiful and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a life changing journey.

I would definitely recommend this trip. Jack the host and owner was very helpful. Everything that we need is provided, coordination with him is smooth. Jack would tell us the plans ahead so we could prepare. It is a good experience to reconnect with nature, meet new people. Learning the history of the elephants and Karen culture is a great experience. But most importantly is the people the I spent time on this trip had the same cool experience.

I spent two of the most unforgettable weeks of my life at the shelter. Jack is an incredibly kind and welcoming person. He does extraordinary work with the elephants and gave me the opportunity to discover both his work and the local culture. D2, his wife, is just as kind and prepared delicious meals for me every single day. I never lacked anything, and this experience with the elephants was truly enriching and deeply meaningful.
