Enghouse is a super welcoming place to volunteer. All of the staff are lovely, particularly Charmie who is always ready to help with anything you need. You typically teach two classes a day with two days off - some are conversation classes which require no prep, and some are 1.5 hour lessons which you have to plan yourself (although Charmie provides a useful template which I followed for my lessons). The students are brilliant - great personalities, really funny, and super engaged. I loved getting to know them and learning more about Vietnamese culture.

I am very happy about my first Worldpackers volunteering experience at Enghouse. Increasing my teaching skills while talking to the students, staff and other volunteers was an extremely enriching experience. The manager Charmie is a very kind person that you can always talk to if you have any concerns. She makes everyone feel super comfortable. Thank you for that! The only thing that could improve is the cleanliness of common areas. The kitchen for example often has dirty dishes and the fridge is messy. If you have any more questions about my experience here, don't hesitate to reach out.

This was quite a pleasant experience! I really enjoyed my time at enghouse and recommend it. I greatly enjoyed talking, going to eat, and hanging out with all the students! The lessons are fun, enghouse lets you have some autonomy with developing lesson plans— either coming up with activities or following the provided format. The admin is awesome, Charmie is incredibly kind and helpful (and funny!) she is very easy to talk to if you have questions. The accommodation is decent, the kitchen is minimal so don't expect to do much cooking. But it's honestly cheaper to eat out anyway.

I spent one month in Enghouse, it was a really nice place to stay and for discovering the city. I’d recommend this place if you are planning to discover Hanoi, it’s not in old quarter but with a motorcycle it’s 10 min to the touristy areas. The classes schedule are really flexible and the classes are really nice, everything is organized so you have plenty of time to discover Hanoi. The accommodation and facilities are okey and around the place there is a lot of nice food to eat ✨ thank you enghouse

Amazing experience! I've been here for one month and i had the opportunity to meet a lot of people,locals and foreigners. The school is well organised and i had the time to do everything ! I loved working with Charmie and her entire team. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly, and eager to help. Charmie adjusts the schedules when necessary. Thank you for that. The students are lovely, kind, and welcoming. It was a real pleasure to share my knowledge of English with them. I also got to learn a little more about life in Vietnam. The housing is okay. The dorm is clean and very quiet. The bathroom is also pretty clean. The kitchen is on the 6th floor. It’s pretty basic with a few pots, bowls, plates, and chopsticks. Unfortunately, it's not always very clean.
