The whole experience was magical! the job was not so hard and all the time we were changing activities to not get too tired or bored 😌 it was super satisfying to watch our day-by-day progress and be a part of this beautiful the farm. the cabin is in the middle of nowhere and for this reason the area around is super peaceful and quiet (you have beautiful walk options in the mountains there) yai (the owner) is an incredible person, we had absolutely amazing conversations everyday. and the food he prepared was always delicious!! i really enjoyed my time there and again, i recommend it a lot! ❤️

It was a really great time living with Yai! The work was very rewarding and we made a lot of progress in the week that I was there. The projects vary from day to day so it stays interesting, and Yai is always consistent with providing really good food in the morning and at lunch time! The accommodation is very simple and woven into nature, with a breathtaking view of the mountains and forest all around — perfect for anyone hoping to get off the grid. I really got a good impression of Asturias from this experience, as Yai brought me around the local villages, and the nearby mountains!

I had an amazing time with Yai. The area was beautiful, conversations were interesting and food was delicious. It was a really special experience that taught me a lot!

We worked on his new cabin, in the garden and with the horses. The work was interesting, relaxed and intuitive. I stayed in my van further up the mountain with amazing views every morning.

It was an unforgettable experience. The place is in the heart of nature and offers a breathtaking view of the mountains. Jamil was very kind and has a deep passion for music. The work was pretty easy and fun. I truly enjoyed our conversations, and he also cooked delicious meals. In winter, it can get quite cold, so be prepared 😅.

Part 2:
He perceived it, as if we don't want to help him and adjust to his plans. We felt really uncomfortable and disrespected. None of these plans were discussed before. Moreover, he doesn't have wifi neither working bikes.
The food portions kept getting smaller until he didn't provide breakfast anymore. Only after asking him, he told us to leave the next morning. Later, we received a No-show review from him. Thanks to the WPsupport team they were able to delete it and we can write a review now!
We can't imagine how it would have ended if we were more dependant on him(without a car).

Yai replied

stop depending! think! grow! adapt! be self reliant!
this proyect its exactly about that! you could always walked to the place of the horses to feed them if you really cared, think alternatives! if you cant provide the help required we cannot provide meals and home, you only stayed one evening! and it was playfull and creative with nice people and food! no thanks for that? read the other many reviews, you will discover why i asked you to leave on second day if you look closely your attitude!

Part 1: I stayed here with Elena. The tasty food and his lovely animals were the only positive parts.
We had to work right after arriving without warning, water or food.
On day 2 he told us, he will leave for an unknown amount of days, leaving us alone in the mountains to care for his animals. We have a small city car so we told him that the car is not suitable for the mountain roads, what he didn't respect. He crashed out and out of nowhere he blamed our work and attitude from the first day. Despite giving no guidance and water.

The only good things? And what about the live music at home? or the lovely people you knew on the proyect? or the cinema room with a proyector where you stayed? watching you work on the first day told me that you where not willing to improve the place by putting effort, i didnt saw motivation, just a face annoyed at having to work, thats why i asked you to go on day 2.. also i didnt like that you triyed to cook meat inside the house after telling you we dont want! and there was a fountain, ask!

As this was my first WorldPackers experience, I was a bit nervous but straight away I was made very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed my time staying here. The work was very fair and was given breaks whenever needed, and the food prepared by Jamil was absolutely delicious!

I am so grateful to Jamil and his partner for welcoming we with open arms and allowing me to experience life in the mountains of Asturias with them. What an experience!

Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and I recommend this experience to anyone who's wanting to experience the more rural side of Spain.

What a place this is. We're high up in the mountains of Rrosa completely isolated from the world. off grid, no signal — just solar panels, rainwater, and gas stoves keeping us going. I would strongly recommend if you want to get off grid and out into nature Jay really cares about keeping things natural around the area so it is very wild!!!

This was a truly incredible experience, with such a sharp contrast to normalcy. It was eye opening to show we can chose to live more environmentally minded and conscious of our consumption. The host is a fascinating character with an easygoing nature, quick to joke and laugh. With the focus on the farmconnection and musical influence it made for an unparalleled environment. Allowing speech without judgement, encouraging the farm expression and self reflection. The animals were so much fun! Be warned if you have allergies. Bring food if you are not ok with a fully vegetarian diet. 10/10

It was a very beautiful time with Yai. He is a magical and musical person with whom you can talk about anything. Life there is very simple, and you should be prepared for a compost toilet and showering with rainwater. Yai cooks wonderfully, and I already miss all his sweet animals.
