Dear next volunteers: I had the most amazing month! Skiing every day in such a beautiful place felt like a dream. For just a few hours of work, you get so much in return: including free breakfast!! The group was fantastic and made the experience even better. Room was very very comfortable and host was welcoming and super friendly. See you next season? Thank you Wei :)))

This was my first volunteer experience at all and I couldn't be more satisfied. I found a lot of time for myself to go snowboarding and I also met a lot of fantastic people: staff and guests. My time in the inn is coming to and end but will certainly leave a mark on my heart since these last 4 months were super enjoyable. Moreover, Kutchan is a nice city, only 10 minutes away from the Niseko slopes. I wish I could do this experience in the inn again in the future.

Wei and the rest of the group were so amazing and lively. I'd definitely recommend this to other worldpackers who want to enjoy the snowy season. I will cherish the memories I made there forever. Thanks for everything Wei!

I had a very enjoyable time at the inn, from the constant Japow to the slow-down local life of Kutchan. The people were very friendly and accommodating and I believe I've made long lasting connections from this experience. The work is simple and quick and the team is very knowledgeable and willing to teach. Ty Wei for making my Japan Ski Trip a reality!

Volunteering at Yellowhouse was a great time with a lot of great memories. The work is easy and after finishing you have enough time to enjoy the slopes after. Wei is a really good boss who goes out of his way for you to have a good time.
My only criticism would be, that the living situation is not explained too much before. Depending on which house you end up living you may have a small room or no kitchen in your house. But since the houses are close to each other cooning is no problem.
All in all I would recommend yellowhowhouse for everyone who loves skiing and wants to have a great time.

The inn is perfect for anyone who wants to fit a ton of skiing/snowboarding into their winter. The work is easy and quick, and the managers are cool + laid back. It wasn't clear at first, but there are 4 different properties that we rotate on cleaning. Sometimes we also collect cash from guests, which can be a hassle. The female dorm fits a bunk bed in a room that is pretty much just a narrow walk in closet. Beware, if you're claustrophobic. I was able to work remotely at the same time, which was a plus. But note that days off and other things will come on short notice.

Being at the inn was a unique experience. I've met a lot of people and did what was my main goal: snowboard. A lot. Tasks were pretty easy, normally just cleaning the facilities and changing sheets. Sometimes we had to do some snow cleaning but it was alright. Work hours are pretty fair and tasks are divided evenly between the volunteers. They would let us use the shuttle bus to go forth and back to the mountain. Wei is an incredible host and always went out of his way to ensure everyone was happy.
