The Experience

We recently purchased an old van that we have big plans for, unfortunately it's in a bit of a rough shape. It does currently run but was sitting for two years and is certainly in need of a tune up and potentially some more extreme work. We'd first like to make sure it is going to be able to run well before remodeling the inside. We are looking for someone who knows about cars and mechanics to help as we get the ol' gal back into working shape!

My experience at the hostel was amazing! All of the other workers were incredibly nice! There was a nice balance between work and free time! The housekeeping work I did was straight forward. The shifts get rotated, so you have full-days off to get out and explore! I would recommend visiting Cannon beach and Astoria; they are easily accessible by the Sunset Transit bus. There are also some great hikes in Ecola State Park, like Crescent Beach Trail and Indian Beach Trail. Thank you everyone for an incredible experience! I'm going to miss the Werewolf game nights!

I loved my experience at the hostel! The community is something I will cherish forever; the managers create a welcoming environment to ensure everyone gets what they need out of the experience; there is plenty of room for both self exploration and social interaction; the work is exactly as described and we work as a team to ensure everyone has the time and resources to experience all that the area has to offer. I could go on and on, but I'll cut it short to simply say thank you for an unforgettable experience. I am extremely lucky to have found this little home away from home :)

The team was incredibly welcoming and supportive, and it was clear that everyone truly cared for each other. The area is beautiful and very easy to explore. This was an amazing two weeks spent, everyone was so kind and interesting to talk to. Their public transportation worked really well, and there were many hiking and view point spots near the hostel, making it easy to visit. I wish I could've stayed longer!
