My experience at Roy's place was incredibly positive from the very beginning! I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived and was made to feel welcome right away. The tasks themselves are simple to manage and don't take up too much time. I stayed for a week, but I would have absolutely loved to stay longer! I was also lucky enough to meet other volunteers who had already been there for a while, and I made some lovely friendships along the way. I'm truly grateful for the experience and hope to come back soon. Highly recommended! 😊

My experience at the B&B was incredible and full of peace. The tasks are simple to carry out, and Roy is an excellent host who always did his best to make the work easier for us and ensure we felt comfortable during our time as volunteers. The farm is beautiful, the dogs are lovely, and I am so glad I had this opportunity. I felt safe, had the chance to meet some very special fellow volunteers, and shared some unforgettable moments. Highly recommended!

My time at Fortwilliam farm was truly one of the best of my life. I am so grateful to Roy for opening his family home to not only myself, but to so many other travelers looking for a safe place to relax, reset, and connect. I made so many amazing connections with other travelers all over the world, and felt so comfortable and grounded during my time here. My leaving felt so bitter sweet, but after such an incredible experience I have no doubt I will return, and I am very much looking forward to the day I do. Thanks again for everything Roy, you have created something truly special 🇮🇪

The host is communicative and friendly. He always makes sure you're okay with the tasks. Everywhere you look feels like a piece of art, with beautiful nature all around you. There are organic fruits growing in the back garden. Everything is well taken care of. The host's family is good company too. The other volunteers bring a vibrant vibe, and the entire experience is great.

I spent a wonderful week at Fotwilliam Farm. I was welcomed by Roy and the other volunteers. The place is truly beautiful, a very elegant farm with some guest rooms.
The farm is surrounded by nature, rivers, and horses from other farms. He provides excellent quality ingredients, and we can cook our own meals. The tasks are very simple and easy to do. The room, in my case, was just for me, which I loved.
The location isn't necessarily close to the city center, but you can get there using one of the bicycles that Roy provides.
It's a charming place, and I would stay longer if I could.

Roy is really caring and lovely. You feel at home here. His farm is so pretty!
It was my first experience on Worldpackers and it was a success in my life. Living in a farm is totally world apart from people who live in a big city. Try it! It deserves!

Roy's farm is a tranquil dwelling full of beautiful spots to relax. This farm has a genuine warmth to it. You can just tell by the attention to detail that this farm has been created by an artistic eye and innovative maker. Roy is a kind host who is open, optimistic, and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. The volunteer experience is a great balance of housekeeping chores and having your own time to enjoy the space too. As someone who loves being outside, I enjoyed the chores in the garden the best. I fully intend to comeback and volunteer again.

My stay at Roy's farm in Fort William was wonderful! Roy is an incredibly organized and generous host. Every morning, he explains the daily tasks with absolute clarity. The work hours are short and the tasks are very simple, leaving plenty of time to enjoy his beautiful, peaceful garden. Roy also provides great food and makes you feel right at home. Location-wise, it is very convenient, just a scenic 25-minute walk or a quick bus ride into the town center. If you want a relaxed experience with a fantastic host, I highly recommend staying here!

It was my first experience as a volunteer, and honestly, it went really well. I felt calm and comfortable throughout the whole stay, and my working hours were perfectly respected. Communication with the host was smooth, and my tasks were clearly explained from the beginning.
The place itself is very beautiful—peaceful and relaxing, a real spot for calm and quiet. Everything that had been agreed upon beforehand was fully respected, which made the experience even better.
I would definitely recommend this place, especially for people who are trying volunteering for the first time.

My staying at Fort William Farm was amazing. The working hours were respected and the tasks were truly simple to do: to set breakfast for the guests, clean the rooms and common areas, and to check people in. And after everything was done I had the rest of the day for myself. The place itself is gorgeous! Luna and Tyson were the cutest dogs! Some especial thanks to Bia that was such an amazing company. I wish I would've stayed longer but I was fortunate enough to have this experience in that marvelous place! It was a short but good one. I'm truly grateful for Roy that had me for 5 days.
