For me, this was more than a volunteering. The place felt like home, the team felt like my family. If you are open and stay long enough, you can not only learn about mosaics, but also about yourself. The house is a nutritious place that invites you to grow, and become more authentic. I loved it and I hope I can come back soon!

I spent 2 weeks at Shankari's Art the project and really enjoyed my first volunteering experience there. The place feels like a hidden palace surrounded by nature, full of beautiful mosaics and creative energy. Shankari is a kind and inspiring free spirit, and I loved learning from her. The river nearby, morning swims, and the full moon ceremony made the experience even more special. Overall, it's a unique place to connect with art, nature, and beautiful energy. Grateful to have been part of it 🫶🏼✨

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Shankari’s and I’m still staying! And will return. Shankari is an amazingly inspiring person to learn from, we have a lot of fun and the work is very easy and fulfilling, the area is beautiful and you have more than plenty of time to enjoy it. I highly recommend volunteering here.

This is truly one of the best places you could ever visit. It feels like a second family to me now, not just a place I volunteered at. Shankari, the owner, is an incredibly kind person with such positive and inspiring energy. During my stay, I faced several personal challenges outside of work, and she was always there to support me and help me through them. Her kindness and generosity made a huge difference in my experience. The place itself is beautiful, calm, and very peaceful. I genuinely enjoyed every moment of my time there and created memories I will always cherish.

This experience is so much more than volunteering and working. The energy of the magical are of Balian beach, the house and from Shankari herself is something that can truly shape you and reinvigorate your love for nature and life!! The house is beautiful and has an amazing friendly atmosphere with a true air of camaraderie. I have made friends for life here. The living conditions are perfect, simple but extremely comfortable. The 'work' itself is flexible and very enjoyable. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Shankari thank you for everything!! There is something for everyone here!

My volunteering experience at Shankari Artist the project was truly special. From the first day I felt completely at home, surrounded by beautiful nature and a very welcoming atmosphere. Working on mosaics with Shankari taught me many life lessons about patience, creativity, and how small pieces can come together to create something meaningful. If anyone has the opportunity to go, I highly recommend it.

Shankari is very nice and it is very interesting to talk with her. All the mosaics look amazing and you feel you are in someone's life project. Making mosaic was very cool, very creative, there are a bunch of different pieces so you have to figure out how to make it look beautiful with the resources you have, and I liked it, to see the progress and the final result. The bedroom was not very comfortable in general, that's the downside, but changes were being made while I was there already!

If you are looking for a hidden secret and magical place in Bali, this can be your perfect option. The team is very kindharted, but they are busy mostly, so get ready to explore the area alone or with your volunteer mate, and be careful because it is possible to meet the best volunteer mate ever there:)) The view is one of the most beautiful, you can hear the ocean if there is no traffic on the road. I really enjoyed the work also.

From the very first moment I arrived at Shankari, I could feel the magic of this place. There is nothing else like it – it truly feels like a little piece of paradise. The hosts were so loving and welcoming, I felt at home straight away. The mosaic work was such a beautiful experience that allowed me to grow and express my creativity. I also enjoyed working in the garden, swimming in the river, and discovering the life of this sweet little village. But more than anything, I found a family here. Thank you, Shankari, for your kindness and for sharing so much with me. I hope to come back soon!
