Absolutely beautiful time in the shelter. I joined this trip with the goals of helping an important conservation project and making some memories along the way. My expectations were blown out of the water. Being able to be so hands-on and see your work on a day-to-day basis was fulfilling. The gorgeous country makes it easy to enjoy the rest of your time. The people made the trip, their generosity and passion made each day special. An amazing experience through and through.

I had an incredible time doing this program. Milo and his family are incredible people and beyond passionate about the work they do. It was such a pleasure to spend a week learning about what they do and helping them in the process. The food we got to eat was also incredible. Most of the work we did was releasing baby sea turtles back into the ocean, or doing night walks along to beach to look for mother sea turtles and/or new nests. I would recommend this project to anyone, especially if it's your first one!

I absolutely loved my stay which was less than a week and it was not enough time! Milo was so kind and you can really tell how much he loves this project and appreciates our help. We had so much flexible time to do our own thing and the night patrols were easy. The food was delicious and made by Milo's wife Sonia who was understanding of what foods we didn't eat (which is great if you're a bit picky like me and don't eat beans). I am already planning on coming back and staying longer!

This experience was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica. There is so much flexibility with time during the day, and Emma was always more than happy to help us figure out transportation and activities whenever we wanted. You can tell how passionate the staff are about this conservation project, and they spread the enthusiasm to all of the volunteers. Sonia's cooking was incredible, and there was always plenty of food. Everyone was so friendly, and we would recommend this experience to anyone who has a chance.

Everything about this experience was incredible. From releasing baby sea turtles and witnessing the race to the ocean, to talking about Milo about his passion for conservation, to riding horses along the same beach we searched for eggs on every night, it was simply a dream. This is the perfect environment to foster connections and friendships. The food was fantastic, cabins were quaint but got the job done. I would go on this trip a thousand times.
