Program Details
Program Description: 4th Grade Volunteer Support Program
The 4th Grade Volunteer Support Program is designed to provide additional educational support in the classroom by pairing volunteers with the main teacher to enhance the learning experience of students. This program offers volunteers the opportunity to engage directly with young learners and contribute to their academic growth while gaining hands-on experience in a classroom setting.
Program Goals:
To support the 4th-grade teacher in providing a well-rounded education to students.
To offer individualized attention to students who may need extra help in specific subjects such as math, reading, and writing.
To create a positive and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.
To provide volunteers with valuable experience in teaching, classroom management, and education.
NOTE: Volunteers are kindly encouraged to contribute a 100€ donation to support our local school project in Busumbala, The Gambia.
⚠️ This donation is NOT mandatory.
Volunteers are still very welcome to join and participate in the program even if they are not able to contribute financially.
How the Donation Works
• The donation is not given in cash to the organization.
• Instead, volunteers personally use the money to purchase school supplies (such as notebooks, pens, textbooks, learning materials, etc.).
• The supplies are bought from local school stores in The Gambia.
• The process is done together with:
• One volunteer representative
• A teacher from the school
This ensures full transparency and allows volunteers to directly see how their contribution supports the children and the school community.
