The guest house is a beautiful place to disconnect, connect with nature, and learn new skills. Sophie and Michel are excellent hosts; they patiently explained the tasks to us and taught us about the local culture. The best part of all was going for walks with Paco and Lady. We highly recommend this experience.

We had a lovely days. Sophie and Michel are wonderful people. As well as helping us with our daily activities, they allowed us to relax and unwind. They took us on walks, told us about the local culture, and we had a really enjoyable time. Paco and Lady stole our hearts (although Lady is a bit of a loner 😂) We'd definitely recommend this experience! We hope to return one day .

My stay here was really great. The place is absolutely beautiful, and the tasks are easy. Basically, we helped with maintaining the property, walking the dogs, and taking care of a few things around the house. The host was very communicative, and whenever we had any questions, she was always there to help. We are very grateful to Sofia and Michael for welcoming us and making us feel so comfortable. Thank you so much for having us and for making our stay such a wonderful experience! I'm definitely going to miss Paco and Ladie as well

My experience in the guest house was amazing. Sophie and her family are lovely people, always caring about our well-being. The dogs are the cutest. The place is stunning, with great views and there's beautiful walks nearby. The work hours and tasks were just as described on WorldPackers. The tasks are pretty easy, and it can be really relaxing to water the plants with the great views of their place. The caravan has a lot of space and it's amazing to have your own private place. The ingredients for cooking are of great quality too. I truly recommend volunteering in this place.

Sophie and Michael were both hospitable, and welcoming hosts. The property is beautiful, with lots of walks and hikes nearby- it's a great stay if you want to get back to nature. The food provided was fantastic, we always had a well stocked fridge and pantry, and the accomodation was quiet, comfortable and perfectly suited for a couple. The work is as advertised, physical and “get your hands dirty” type work, so this is a perfect opportunity if that's what you're after. I really enjoyed working on a project, which included building a retaining wall and a garden path. We loved our stay!

We stayed at the guest house Penedès for two weeks and had a great first volunteering experience. Sophie and Michael were very kind and always checked on us (you can see how much effort and love they have put into the place). The work was hands-on (organizing, painting, gardening, change a fence, cleaning) and well explained. Food was provided, and the guest house was amazing. The town is very quiet, but overall it was a great experience and we'd love to come back in summer. I wish I could write a longer review, but honestly this place was incredible and we truly enjoyed every moment here.

Overall, we had a good stay and really enjoyed the beautiful the guest house. The tasks were well balanced: not too intense, but also not boring. There were a few inconveniences, though. Pick-up was mentioned as included, and after agreeing on a time, the host cancelled while we were already on our way, which was quite inconvenient. At times, we also felt some mistrust regarding our work and would have appreciated clearer guidance and expectations. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay and the surroundings.

I did go to pick you up but you were going to arrive 2 hours later due to taking the wrong transport. That would have meant I was to wait 2 hours in 35 degree heat with a car full of groceries for your stay. I think anyone would see that as an unreasonable request. Sorry to hear Tibo you felt mistrusted in your work. As I explained on the first day all hoses must be turned off after use, because they burst under pressure if left on. I had to replace two hoses due to them being left on.

The property is beautiful and the tasks were manageable, but unfortunately there were some uncomfortable experiences. There was little flexibility regarding our arrival, and although we had been told we would be picked up, this did not happen. Another upsetting situation involved a pillowcase cover that the host later found. We felt we were treated with a lack of trust over this misunderstanding, and there was no apology afterwards. During some moments we felt disrespected and would suggest to Sophie to have clearer communication, greater flexibility and more trust.

Pros - Sophie and Michael were kind and helpful. - Work hours were respected. - Good groceries provided. - A private space to relax. - Enjoyed planting trees, watering the garden, and feeding the chickens. - Buses into Vilafranca and Barcelona were reliable. Neutral - Work was tedious and sometimes a physically taxing. - The shower is on the outside of the caravan. - There is nothing to do in the near by town, Pontons. Cons - Lots of dead ants in the caravan - Wifi and cell service was unreliable in caravan - Nearest bus stop and grocery store is 35 min walk through the mtns. & on highway
