This was my first volunteer experience, and without a doubt the best I could have chosen. Sabine and Manfred are wonderful and super patient, haha. You also need to be responsible, follow their directions, and do what they ask (their instructions aren't complicated at all, and they're always there to help). The animals are very sweet and gentle, though of course, they are still animals; either way, Manfred will always give you great advice on how to handle them. I would definitely repeat this experience—I wanted to explore this part of Germany, and I did it in the best possible way! :)

It was a really nice experience to work in the Llama Oase with all the animals, connecting with nature, and Sabine and Manfred are really nice guys, just sometimes a little to much stress with all the work and house rules, but besides that everything was really cool experience jajjaj really unique and different from all and definitely recommended.

Going to the farm was my first experience as a worldpacker and I couldn't have dreamed of a better one! Manfred and Sabine are so amazing people, I felt so warmly welcomed into their farm and house which is so pretty and cozy! You can really see that they are passionate and really love and care about their animals and you will learn a lot from them ♡ An advice I would have for you is to listen properly to what Sabine and/or Manfred tell you, especially around the farm because things need to be done at the moment, not 2 hours later ;p I met amazing people and I can't wait to come back!

I spent two weeks at Llama-Oase with Sabine and Manfred, and it was genuinely one of the best experiences I've ever had. Manfred and Sabine are truly two of the kindest people!! They were incredibly welcoming and supportive from the start, making me feel at home. I loved caring for the animals, each with their own unique personality (Mr Big !!), and helping with llama walks, horse carriage rides and other activities. I'm so grateful for the memories, friendships and confidence I gained. I'll definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend Llama-Oase to anyone wishing to volunteer!

My 2nd time at the farm was so different from my first but equally enjoyable. As a trans non-binary person, I felt very welcomed here. Sabine and Manfred accepted me as an individual and a valued member of the team. I also found that most volunteers were open and accepting of my gender. Communication with Sabine was very good, she is approachable and is open to meaningful conversation. Communication is mostly good but can be with difficult w Manfred due to the language. He also got stressed and angry a couple of times Overall everything was incredible!!! I can't wait to visit the farm agai

I spent 2 weeks with Sabine and Manfred and my experience was AMAZING! From the moment they picked me up I felt accepted in their family. They are amazing hosts, they always made sure we had everything we need. We ate meals together, talked and laughed a lot. The work is not hard, you can master it in a few days, and if you love animals, it doesn't even feel like work. Sometimes your help is needed with lama walks, carriage rides or other activities, but most of the days are very chill and you have lots of free time. I met so many amazing people and adorable animals, I already miss everyone!<3

From day one we got to really work with all the animals which was amazing! in a few days I felt a lot more confident with leading the animals ("you are the boss!" As Sabine and Manfred often say) in addition to the big animals there are 5 adorable cats, 2 sweet and energetic dog chickens and lot of cute rabbits:) The landscape is beautiful, there is a lake nearby which Manfred took us to, and Salzburg is very accessible by train of you want some weekend adventure 😀 Thank you so much!!

The best first volunteering experience I could have chosen. Manfred and Sabine are incredibly welcoming and fun to be around, and Manfred's cooking is amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves animals and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. With great volunteers around you, the work is quick, fun, and rewarding.

I absolutely loved staying at Llama- Oase with Sabine and Manfred. They are a wonderful, hardworking and funny couple to work and live with. The work was very simple with lots of free time during the day to chill, go to the lake or just hangout with the animals and other volunteers. You really build a in-depth understanding of what it is like to live and work on a farm. I loved getting to work with all the animals, especially the camels and llamas. Lastly, Manfred's cooking is to DIE FOR. I will definitely miss staying here and would highly recommend this experience!!
