This was my first volunteering experience and it was amazing! Helena was a wonderful host, very kind and communicative. The tasks were well explained and she was always available to help us with any questions. We loved the mornings walking the dogs through the nature. We had everything we needed in the apartment, which was very cozy. Helena made delicious lunches, we tried many different foods and during those lunch moments we were able to have very nice conversations. I recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys nature and a peaceful place.

Helena was an easy going host and the accommodations provided were very comfortable and private. I'm a down to earth person so I appreciated her down to earth personality. I only stayed 5 days and I helped with the dogs, the yard and bringing Helena to a medical appointment. She was so kind to let me use her car as the home is very rural with not much around for being a tourist. Helena provided any food I wanted and made lovely lunches. I enjoyed my quiet stay at her home.

Marcelle and I had incredible days with Helena as our host. Every day, we enjoyed walks with her adorable dogs, Rufi and Pluto, which was such a joy! Helena is a professional chef, and she treated us to delicious lunches—the best codfish I've ever had in my life. The tasks she gave us were very easy and relaxing to complete, making the experience even better. The apartment she provided was super comfortable, warm (even in winter), and clean. It was truly a wonderful time, and I can't wait to return someday.

A life-changing experience. Helena is a very caring, kind, and loving person — also, a remarkably talented cook. every day, we walked her lovely dogs, Pluto and Rufi, and during these walks, we had the chance to connect with nature, which was amazing. Helena was very flexible with the tasks, which were easy to handle. she provided a comfy and clean apartment, along with everything we needed. however, for me, the most important part was the connection we were able to build, especially during lunch. Helena will always come to mind whenever I have “caju cru” or when “picanha” is on the menu. <3

Helena was a wonderful host!! She picked us up at the station, cooked for us at least once a day, VERY tasty and varied. She also gave us the option to choose the foods for the rest of the meals. (Naturally, personal preferences must be paid for by one person.) The activities included walking the dogs and painting a door, weeding the garden, and Ulises did electrical work. She always showed great respect for our time and space. She also invited us to the Soup Festival in a nearby town, we loved it! And we shared an Argentine Asado🙌🏽. We are very grateful, Helena ♥️

A senhora Helena é hospitaleira e divertida, além de ser excelente cozinheira, sempre nos proporcionando ótimas refeições e momentos agradáveis com bons vinhos. Tem consciência ambiental e muito conhecimento sobre alimentação saudável. As tarefas eram simples como pintura, manutenção, jardinagem e passear uma vez por dia com seus cachorros. Fazíamos tudo na parte da manhã e tirávamos o restante da tarde para descansar, ver séries e/ou andar pelo pacato vilarejo, onde é possível colher uvas e figos pelas ruas. Nos dias de folga podíamos utilizar o carro dela para visitar cidades próximas.
