Me and my friend had a great time! It is a really beautiful (isolated) place in the nature and it is interesting to help and work in the process of winemaking next to the winery! The work on the field can be physically demanding (especially because we had a heat wave during our stay) but the working hours are fair and it makes fun as you get more skilled over the weeks. Alex is a fair host who takes care that the volunteers have what they need. I would recommend to everyone who wants to have some calmer time in the nature and is interested in wine plants and their growing.

I spend three really nice weeks at Alex's place. He communicated well with us regarding the tasks, varied them & adapted the working hours to the heat. If you want to visit the vineyard you should be comfortable with living a simple life in a rustic place, having small insects around & doing physically demanding work (might've been extra hard because of the heat, I think you can do it). When it got hot during the day the bedroom was still really warm at night. Alex has his own way of handling things but he tries to pay attention to your needs. We got along well, had some nice conversations.

I really enjoyed my time at chateau civrac. Just a 25-30 minute walk to the nearest town, a bit secluded but that's what I was looking for. Alex is responsible host, making sure I have everything I need. He's down to chat and drink some wine too. I was able to visit surrounding chateaus and expand my wine knowledge greatly. If you're into wine I would for sure recommend this accommodation.

The experience at Chateau Civrac during the harvest this year was a great one! When I got there started the harvest straight away and the work was tough but rewarding - not much to complain about 30 degree weather in a very scenic and peaceful location.
Alex was upfront before the trip about the accommodation being basic which was helpful so I felt at all points in the volunteering process he was very honest and clearly stated what was expected. He is incredibly knowledgeable about wine, a welcoming host and I found the experience fascinating. Would definitely recommend for any wine lovers!

I enjoyed my stay at Chateau Civrac. The work was easy but got a bit repetitive. I liked staying in the mobilehome, which was clean and private. The kitchen is poorly managed and kept. I had some general comunication issues with alex, for example about the working hours and grocery shopping. Which is also a two way thing, so i probably could have tried more myself. Nonetheless thank you for having me

It was my first Worldpackers experience and I am happy with the stay at Chateau Civrac. Everything was exactly how it was communicated prior to the start in terms of conditions, hours, responsibilities etc. Thanks to Alex, I had a very relaxing stay in a remote area surrounded by nature which is exactly what I wanted.
