I spent three lovely weeks at the hostel and it was probably my favorite Hostel Job in Japan. Work takes about 2 hours daily, is very straightforward and not too exhausting. Everyone in the team was super nice and the location is great (on the boarder of Asakusa, on of the coolest areas of the hostel in my opinion). The room is shared between 6 people (volunteers + paid staff) but you have a capsule bed with a door that can be fully closed for some quiet and privacy. I wish I could have stayed longer. ありがとうございます！ Also thank you for letting me play your guitar Fumi! :)

Kai and Fumi were both very welcoming and always available for any questions. The work was very easy and well distributed everyone was assigned their own tasks so you can go at the speed you prefer. The sleeping arrangements is a dormitory just for the volunteers and a bathroom that is only shared with volunteers as well, kitchen is shared with the rest of the guests house. The only minus I can think of is that it's 1 day off per week which is not a lot but honestly it was not that bad. Overall would very much recommend staying at Guesthouse the hostel!

Fumi San is so helpful and so kind. The tasks are very reasonable in return for living in such a popular part of the hostel. Many other volunteers said that this is by far their favourite volunteering experience in Japan. I hope to return one day!

I loved my experience at Guesthouse the hostel! The work exchange is fair and the working hours are always respected. There is a dormitory reserved for volunteers, with sliding doors for each bed. The guesthouse is also ideally located for exploring the hostel. I met amazing people there who became my friends, and I really enjoyed sharing everyday life with them. A big thank you to the whole team, and especially to Fumi, for his kindness, friendliness, and availability throughout my stay. By the end of my stay, I felt at home there. I would definitely come back during a future trip to the hostel!

My stay at the hostel was my first volunteering experience and I think I couldn't have dreamed of a better start! The team was incredibly friendly, very accommodating, and easy to talk to. The work wasn't difficult and it respected the working hours agreed on. We had our own dormitory for the volunteers and it's really great to feel like you have your own little place. Honorable mention for the living room, which is truly amazing. And the manager, Fumi, organizes events once a week, which is awesome for meeting new people and having fun all together!

The hostel was my first volunteering and it was the best choice! It's located in Asakusa, a traditional neighborhood in the hostel, so you have a lot to see! A big living room in the 5th floor with a nice view and the staff dormitory it's actually very comfortable. The tasks are simple and don't take much time to complete it, allowing you to exploring Japan. The owners and managers are super kind (specially Fumi), sometimes they do movie nights and we also had a Hanami! Here I met people that now I consider my friends, so this place became my home. Thank you Fumi, Kei, Yutaka and Keiko! またね！

Had an amazing experience staying here in the hostel! Fumi was very welcoming and the hostel is in a ideal location with so many things to see and do nearby. The hostel itself was lovely, the staff dorm was a great plus! Work was reasonable and fair and has a good structure to the shift. There was plenty of free time to explore, I would highly recommend staying here and will certainly be back next time I'm in the hostel! Thank you :)
