The experience

We are looking for volunteers to spend time with our children in Nairobi, Kenya. Tasks include interacting with the children and child care. Volunteers can also spend time with elderly people from the surrounding area - they visit the home twice in a week for an exercise class and to play walking football.

Optionally, volunteers can help in other areas of the home including in the kitchen helping prepare food and serving.


What you offer

Activities & Shift

Volunteers are expected to work 4 hours per days with 2 days off per week. There is flexibility with working hours dependent upon where a volunteer choses to spend their time.

For example, a volunteer may choose to join the elderly sessions and then spend their remaining time with the children.

Volunteers can choose to wake up early to prepare the children for school and also pick them up from school. This is in addition to the tasks previously stated in the description.

During the volunteers free time and days off, they can visit shopping malls around Nairobi, visit Nairobi giraffe center, visit Nairobi safari walk, visit Nairobi National Park, hike Ngong Hills.

Volunteers are expected to abide by home rules and respect boundaries surrounding vulnerable children.
