The Exchange

Our hostel is fun but relaxed, attracting people that come to chill-out rather than to party. Still, we like bringing life to the hostel and always keeping a great atmosphere. We organise dinners, BBQs, tapas tours and sangria nights, but we're also open to your ideas! You will be hanging out with people a lot and spending time pleasantly :) The other part of your work would be making bunk beds and some light cleaning.

Program Details

People with cooking, music and event-organization skills are especially welcome to apply!

When you apply, please write in Spanish if you're an English speaking person and opposite if you're from a Hispanic country. I appreciate a personal message, not copy-paste, explaying what kind of tasks you are especially interested in, what's your motivation to work in a hostel (and why particularly in ours) and what you would like to do in your free time. Gracias!

Activities & Shift

Main tasks we need help with are:
- making bunk beds (two or three levels),
- helping with breakfast,
- sweeping the common area and patios,
- taking for a walk our little hostel dog
- events: homemade sangria on the rooftop terrace, BBQs, cooking dinners, board games, taking people around the city or to the mountains (if successful, we are used to sharing the profit, so you'd have some pocket money:) ...

Rules

English and Spanish are our two most used languages, so I hope you are able to use them - it will make your, as well as our guests/staff life easier ;) We need a honest and responsible person. We work hard every day to make this place the best of its kind in the city and we want to feel safe and calm that the volunteer we accept will represent the place well and won't cause any problems. We give a lot of flexibility and freedom, as long as the tasks we ask for, are done. We don't want to be your parents asking you over and over to finish your task, so please, only mature people :)
