I had an amazing time staying at the farm with Juan! I learnt so much about goats and living on a natural farm, with an insane diversity of fruits and vegetables growing. My duties were mostly milking/taking the goats on walks but I also had the opportunity to learn in the garden and help harvest and dry fruits. It was a joy to stay, so much so that I extended my trip longer, I would highly recommend this experience and would love to visit again in the future ☺️

Fortunately, I had an unforgettable experience here. Juan was super welcoming from the moment I arrived, let me borrow his shoes for hikes because mine was broken, and provided us volunteers with enough food including plenty of veggies from his farm. I learned so much about taking care of goats, chickens, making cheese, and improve my Spanish as I told him before as one of my objectives. Here's also a good place to fully be immersed in nature with numerous kinds of animals, insects and definitely enhance your fitness with occasional hikes trying to take the goats back home. Recommended!

The place was really beautiful though quite rural. It's a good opportunity to connect with nature and learn hard skills. Juan taught us how to milk goats and make cheese and yogurt, how to make jam, to preserve food for winter and to take care of the garden. I would have probably enjoyed my stay a lot more if not for Juan's stern teaching techniques which made the work environment a little anxiety inducing for me and the rest of the volunteers.

Also be careful if you work online: there's no wifi, signal it's not always stable and electricity to charge computers is not available at all hours.

Being my first experience, I can't be objective. For me it was a time of learning in every sense, in addition to the volunteer work itself. Juan teaches how to handle and care for the goats, he also explains something about crops. During my time there, unfortunately, we did not make cheeses and yogurts, which I imagine—and from what Juan tells me—must be a great experience and learning. Keep in mind that there is no hot water, so I also suppose that the stay should be better in warmer temperatures.
