Program Details

Important notice for volunteers!
On August 19th we lost much of our farm to heavy flooding in the Nan, Pua province. We are grateful to say that our family, including our two water buffalo Tony and Hannah, and two cats Mimi and Martin were not harmed. Much love, creativity, energy, and years of volunteer work went into our eco farm DaiDib DaiDee. It is heartbreaking to see so much of that work gone but we must also accept that in coexisting with nature, there are many things out of our control. We hope to take the seeds of DaiDib DaiDee and grow them into something new, still valuing traditional farming, respect for the natural world, and bringing back our international family 💚⛰️ We are still accepting volunteers!! Now more than ever we need big hearted, good spirited volunteers who wish to be a part of a strong community during a period of recovery, problem solving, and rebuilding. All types of skills appreciated!

Our home base is being run temporarily from Puaavana farm at the edge of the village where we have a small garden, big yard, kitchen for shared meals & personal cooking, common space, views of the rice fields, and covered tent accommodation. The tents are single person and have a mattress, pillow, and blanket for a comfortable sleep. We have two regular beds upstairs for those who feel uncomfortable in a tent though they may not be available in high season.

An idea of our new daily flow:
Because of the changes to our land and village, our work has shifted. We our now focused on community work (helping our neighbours with reconstruction + aid), and beginning to clean up our farm thats located just five minutes from Puaavana. We will start the day with optional morning meditation and yoga 🧘 Then 1 to 3 hours of work doing tasks like planting/weeding in the garden, helping with a construction project in the village, feeding the buffalo, visiting the farm to clean, and creative projects that come up along the way. The evening time you have to yourself to relax, socialise, visit a coffee shop close by, and explore! Though the flooding has sadly changed parts of Pua, much of it is still a functioning village with tasty foods to try and wonderful people to meet!
The meal plan is the same as before. We offer three delicious vegetarian meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner for approximately 350 Thai baht (to cover the cost ingredients) which you can pay at the end of your stay. You’re also welcome to cook your own meals in our kitchen, free of charge! We do ask that all food prepared is vegetarian 🌱

Feel free to contact us for any additional questions!

All the best!! ⛰️🌾💚

Hello everyone! My name is Bird and I wish to create a relaxing place that allows people from all over the world to take their time to experience life in harmony with nature. I also have four water buffalo on our farm, named Tony, Laura, Hanna and Charlie. We are a local family with a desire to preserve our simple, sustainable way of life so that we can give back to and protect mother earth.

Our farm is located in Pua city, 70 km north of Nan province surrounded by the mountains and rice fields, in Northern Thailand. The farm is set on 1.5 acres of land with vegetable gardens, rice paddies, farm stay and pizza restaurant.
Currently, we have done with natural buildings on the farm, including bamboo huts, fences, and wooden houses.

“Life is better with a Buffalo” is our farm goal and “Happiness only real when shared “ is our motto. You will learn how to live with buffalo such as, how buffalo help farmers working on the farm, also will enjoy bathing with them. And you will have a great time with community sharing.

During your free time, you will be able to enjoy the beauty of nature that surrounds our farm, which is on the edge of large mountains and valleys. We will also provide activities and adventures to local caves and waterfalls, as well as mountain trekking. If you would like, you can also learn cultural handcrafts such as weaving and natural cotton, as well as natural tie dying(at your own cost). Or you can join me free meditation and yoga every morning to prepare our minds and bodies for the day’s
work.

*Please note, that we are not a tourist attraction. We are a functioning farm and would like volunteers to be committed and interested in our farming simple life.
We very welcome you! stay and Spending time with us !
