I stayed with Amelie and Matt with their two children and dog Lucas! They were very accommodating and the room you stay in is comfortable and has everything you need!
Amelie and Matt were very accommodating for example; picking me up from New Plymouth as I didn’t have a car, providing well balanced meals and snacks so I never needed anything, told me exactly what was expected working on use before I arrived and the answered any questions I had about living in the house (washing and showers).

My girlfriend and I felt very comfortable there,the place is warm, cozy, and welcoming.\n\nThe work was great as well, we really enjoyed helping out and doing some light gardening. The food was always delicious, and cooking together was a lot of fun.\n\nThere’s also a very sweet dog named Lukas, who made the stay even more enjoyable.\n\nThe property itself is quite large and offers a beautiful view of the mountain. I can highly recommend staying there, the family is humorous and very friendly.

Me and my boyfriend had a great time at Amélies and Matt’s place. It is a very beautiful location, with a direct view on the volcano. Amélie and Matt are very welcoming and loving hosts, who made us feel at home and who tried to make the time as enjoyable as possible for us.
The tasks varied, also depending on the weather and the hours and days off where flexible. Every job was kind of fun though. And with Lukas, their dog, constantly on our side it was even better 😊 Their two kids are also adorable. And the food is delicious! So I cannot recommend it enough!

Staying with Matt and Amelie was amazing. Their home was comfortable and welcoming to me and my friend, especially their dog and children:)
The tasks varied from weeding to cleaning drain pipes and feeding chicken, and there was always something new to see. The flexible of these hosts allowed us to pick our own days off, which was really convenient. I would recommend the project for anyone looking for a comforting stay close to nature!

Sorry somehow I'm not able to leave a formal review so I'll just leave a comment here. Ada stayed at our place with her friend Marie for about a week. She was really friendly and hard-working. She's always happy to help. We had nice chats in the evening. I'd happily recommend them both. 😊

We really enjoyed our stay with Matt and Amélie! They were our first worldpackers experience and did the friendly image of New Zealanders justice (even though they're French). We shared some nice conversations and they did their best to help us with occurring problems we faced. Working in their garden was great aswell, 5 hours a day of work and always something new to tackle. The flexibility was useful and we could choose our own rest days, to have the best of our free time.
We had an amazing time and definetly recommend the project as hosts for other worldpackers.

I had a lovely time with Amelie and Matt. The tasks where rather easy and I could always ask them if there were any questions. I enjoyed our dinners and conversations together. It can be a lot with the kids and the dog at some point but most of the time it was fine and I enjoyed having them around:)

Matt and Amelie were amazing hosts! This was our first worldpackers experience and we had a really nice time. They're a kind family with the cutest dog ever. The tasks were simple and clear and we felt super comfortable asking for help if we needed it. They were accommodating and flexible with working hours. I would definitely recommend!

Ameli and Matt are super kind. We did some nice work belping around their property, like painting their porch or weeding and watering their garden. They also have the sweetest dog. They're very helpful and accommodating, and suppers spent together were a great end to the day. We also had a great view of the mountain!
