Not sure where to start. This was my very first time volunteering and experience via Worldpackers and I could have not chosen a better country and home stay! Apsara and her family are extremely welcoming and sweet. Her cooking is beyond delicious and she'll truly spoil you - get used to it as you won’t have to cook and she likes to feed everyone! Not only helping children in orphanage was so rewarding, but I've also raised money separately for floods affected areas, which Apsara was super helpful with and arranged everything with trusted members to get us and the donation where needed ❤️

I had an absolutely incredible two-week stay at the home! From the very first day, Apsara and her family treated me exactly like a member of their own family. Spending time helping out at the orphanage was a deeply rewarding experience, and the entire atmosphere here is incredibly warm and welcoming. Also getting to go on beautiful local hikes was a major highlight. To top it all off, Apsara completely spoiled me with her cooking—every single meal she prepared was absolutely delicious. If you want a genuine, heartfelt the home in Kathmandu, I cannot recommend this enough!

Apsara and Sijan made me feel very welcome from the minute I landed at Kathmandu. Sijan was waiting at the airport for me to take me to their home.
Apsara always made sure I was well fed and I loved staying at their home.
I always felt welcome in their home and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Spending time with the Children was such an amazing experience and I will never forget it. the people in the area would always smile and say hello and it was so safe.
I will be going back again next year and every year after that.

I may have found my forever home in Kathmandu. This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I wasn't sure what to expect from staying with a host family, but I felt welcome from day one. Apsara exceeded my expectations with her kindness and delicious meals—her curries were my favorite! She also introduced me to her friends and family, helping me feel part of the community. Spending time with the children never felt like work because they were so loving and eager to learn. I helped with homework, practiced English, and shared games and activities with them. I highly recommend this host

Apsara is a very welcoming host! She makes sure you feel as comfortable as possible. I was there with three other volunteers, we each had a private room and shared a bathroom. The food was cooked by Apsara herself and it was delicious. This experience overall is great if you're looking to immerse yourself in a local village and have most of your day free to do whatever you'd like.

Apsara’s place truly felt like a home for me and the village was a wonderful community to be part of. The children are so wonderful it was such a great experience to get to know them. Apsara was a great host making sure we got to see so much of the sights and culture of Nepal, and of course she is the most amazing cook. I would recommend this experience and would love to come back again ❤️

I had a great experience at the home homestead, I had a wonderful time connecting with the kids. The host family is great and helps with all your needs. There is also a lot of flexibility and you have most days to explore Kathmandu. Overall I had a great time and would highly recommend

My stay with Apsara was amazing. As soon as I arrived I felt very welcome in her family. The room is really nice and spacious. I helped in the orphanages. I helped with English homework and played games with the kids. Sometimes we did some hikes together. It was lovely to spend time with the kids. You can plan your own days and you have time to visit things around Kathmandu. Apsara also took me to different family celebrations which was so nice to see their culture. 100% recommend!

It was absolutely amazing, I recommend it to everyone who wants to see the beautiful differences that we have in our world and also to collaborate with the kids at the orphanage, which was the highlight of this experience. Apsara was a really nice host, I felt welcomed since the first moment I got there, she was friendly, kind and her food is something else (loved the homemade momo). She helped me with every doubt and also recommend some places to visit during my stay. She was always willing to help :). I would definitely love to come back one day !
