Lucia and I had a truly unique stay with Ruth and Peter. It was our first experience as volunteers, and it exceeded our expectations beyond words. We stayed in the Luna tent, which was incredibly cozy. The work was varied and enjoyable, and working hours were respected. We were also constantly offered help in finding the best leisure activities. Horizon the lodge is a green oasis nestled in the nature of southern France; working and relaxing there is an experience like no other. Ruth and Peter's incredible hospitality made our volunteering experience very special. It's definitly worth visiting!

My time at Horizon Vert was truly the best I could have wished for . Ruth is one of the nicest most generous people you could hope to meet and made every accommodation to make sure we had a nice time . The work was straight forward and hands on and no good work went without praise . The property is lovely and everyone in the village is super friendly! Ruth and Peter made an effort to take us to local concerts and always made sure we were well fed . The hours were always fair and there was big effort on Ruth's end to take us to fun things in our free time . Thank you !

The property is lovely and the work is straight forward but varied. Puivert always has something fun going on despite being small. Highly recommend and would go back any day 😁

I had an amazing time at Horizont Vert and couldn't have wished a better place to stay in France. Most of the work was outdoors, which I really enjoyed. Ruth always paid attention to the hours we worked everything was well organized. Ruth and Peter made me feel at home from the first day. We went to wonderful concerts and visited beautiful places, for which I really grateful. Although it is a small village, there is always something to do, and the surrounding nature is truly amazing. Thank you for everything, I will always look back on this experience with great memories.

It was my first experience as a volunteer, and I'm grateful to destiny for bringing me to Horizon the lodge, where I had the chance to meet Ruth, Peter, and Lucie. The place is located in the French countryside, in a peaceful and beautiful village 🥹 I absolutely loved all the nature, the forest, the flowers, the lakes and the stunning mountains 🤩 You truly breathe fresh air there. It was the best experience to disconnect from screens, enjoy the views, and get to know the local culture. My volunteering experience at the lodge was brilliant. Ruth and Peter are super kind and look after your well-being. They stick to the working hours and are happy to give you a lift or show you around. I also got to meet a few of their friends and other volunteers. These encounters and the conversations were really a source of inspiration The property and the surrounding area are stunning. I'm definitely going to miss the cosy chalet, the lake, the views, the nice local events and, of course, Pushkin.

I had an amazing stay volunteering at the lodge. Ruth and Peter were so welcoming, kind and always making sure you had everything you needed. I got to work a lot outside in the garden which was peaceful and I really enjoyed doing. I loved seeing the progress when things got done and it started looking nicer and prepared for the summer season. The instruktions for the work was very clear and it was always easy to communicate with Ruth and Peter. The work days were mostly from 9-13 which I prefer but they were very flexible with work hours and also with the free days.

My boyfriend and I spent 10 days volunteering for Ruth and Peter early June, and I could not recommend it more. Ruth and Peter are wonderful. They always made sure we were comfortable & had enough to eat(Ruths cooking is amazing!). As they both knew the area very well, we got a true local experience. We visited the gorgeous Collioure coast and explored the local area in our time off. Work was never too difficult and different every day, so you never got bored. It was so refreshing to spend lots of time outside. We made memories that will last forever and are so grateful for this experience!

Horizon the reserve was an awesome experience. The work was engaging, the property and the surrounding landscape was beautiful, and Ruth and Peter were excellent hosts. I was well fed and well looked after, and was allowed me to take the initiative with anything I especially wanted to work on around the property, which I very much appreciated. It was good to get my hands dirty, breathe the mountain air, and reconnect with nature. But of course, the best part of the stay had to be the cats. I can't recommend these guys enough!
