I was at Skålsjögården for a month and it was really great. I was mainly doing outside jobs and helping renovating one apartment.
Jonas and Sabrina are really kind and understanding and it was nice to work with them. They even provide a volunteer car to go grocory shopping or do trips on your days off. There are lots of possible activities to do in your free time like for example various hiking routes or a hotpot.

I spent two weeks at Skålsjögården with my friend. We both worked in the forest, clearing branches from the trails and marking fallen trees or damaged signs on the trails on a map, which was both a lot of fun and, at times, a challenge due to the condition of the trails in some places and their length, so I'd recommend the forest work to physically active people who enjoy being in nature ☺️ As for accommodations, volunteers have their own house with well-equipped rooms. Overall, I highly recommend Skålsjögården

I stayed in Skalsjogarden for two weeks. It's a beautiful localisation, also a remote place so the closest shops are 25 min away by car. The volunteers stay in a separate building so I had a private room and only shared kitchen and bathroom with other volunteers which is very comfortable and convenient. My work was mainly hiking the nearby trails, so it was quite easy, however doing it day to day can be a little bit demanding so you have to be an active person to fully enjoy this work. Thanks to this opportunity and Sabrina and Jonas, I had a very lovely time and I would recommend! 💜

I had an amazing stay at the Skålsjögården lodge During my stay I've done a lot of different tasks During the high season, it was only worked in the restaurant. When the season was over, it was more outdoor work (with the restaurant during the weekends) I truly recommend this worldpacker opportunity. The restaurant could be pretty much busy so having a good sens of initiative is definitely a plus. Jonas and Sabrina offer amazing working and staying conditions. The lodges are in the middle of the forest with super cool hikes and spots to explore !

Skalsjögarden is cozy, surrounded by nature, forests and lakes, and offers you private rooms with good privacy. Great for quiet time and also learning new skills! Schedule and 2 days off are respected. If you face issues, just talk to Jonas and Sabrina without fear. You're never truly alone as there are always other volunteers around for company but if you want to spend some time alone you're not "forced" to join activities! You can spend your free time as you prefer! :)

My time at the timber lodge was amazing. I felt comfortable as soon as I got there. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking to connect with nature and is comfortable being alone. The tasks were explained thoroughly and the hours were well-balanced. I'm so glad I chose to stay with sabrina and jonas for my first time using world packers.

Excellent experience! I was there in winter, a place with lots of snow, but nature embraces it, making it incredible. In the work environment, Jonas and Sabrina are very clear about the tasks and very patient in explaining things again if you didn't understand something. I worked both in the kitchen and in the forest, learned a lot, and improved my English. The company of other volunteers is great; I recommend it 100%.

This place is paradise for everybody who loves to stay in a great community, get in touch with nature and participate in many different activities! From group meditations, playing steeldrum, going for hikes and dog sledding, enjoying lunch and dinner with the whole team or having game- or movie nights at the volunteerhouse-it's so much fun! The working hours were flexible sometimes but were always respected and compensated, if we worked over hours. Jonas and Sabrina are very welcoming and funny people. They went shopping groceries for us and cooked wonderful meals. Thanks for everything!!❤

I'm very happy that I had my first volunteering experience at your lodge! I felt very welcomed by Jonas, Sabrina and the whole team and they made always sure that we had everything we needed in our stay. We as volunteers had a separeted house, where we had the possibility to cook for ourselves but in general we always ate all together in the main house. The working tasks were always well explained and they handled mistakes very well. I really enjoyed being surrounded by the beautiful nature and going on a walk in the forest. Thank you!!
