My experience at the hostel Trips was really great! The workload varies a bit, sometimes its really light sometimes it's a bit heavy, but the hours are always respected and the staff helps when things are a little much. The morning shift is also kind of late (11AM-3PM) but especially in the spring/summer you still have a lot of the time to enjoy your day. Purmerend is a nice the hostel and you can get to Amsterdam pretty easily by bus! The staff and other volunteers were really nice and welcoming, and it really made the experience a hundred times better!! I absolutely recommend it ❤️

The month I spent in Purmerend was one of the best of my life. The town is small and beautiful, and the access to Amsterdam is easy. The hostel is amazing, and especially the people!! The work isn't hard and is well-organized. The only difficulty is the kitchen, but it's manageable. I'm very grateful and happy for the experience!!!

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel! I made life long friends here :) The work hours were fair and the managers Patrick and Salvatore made sure all the work was distributed evenly. They communicated everything and were also flexible when needed. I also want to mention for other female travellers - I appreciated that if a guest at the hostel was making me feel uncomfortable, I could always tell management and swift action would always be taken. While it was rare when it did happen, I felt very supported by the staff and never felt unsafe. But most of all, I had lots of fun!

I volunteered at this hostel for one month and had a really great experience. The host, staff, and travelers were all very kind, which made it easy to feel comfortable quickly.
My tasks were mostly bed cleaning, deep cleaning for beds, organizing and the schedule was reasonable with plenty of free time. It was a great opportunity to meet people from different countries and create wonderful memories. I would definitely recommend this place to future volunteers.

I had a great experience here and I don't regret coming at all.
The staff and volunteers were very friendly and welcoming, which made the atmosphere feel warm and comfortable.
Most of the volunteer work involved preparing beds for new guests after check-out. The tasks were simple, communication with staff was easy, and the schedule was relatively flexible.
The hostel is located in Purmerend, a small and charming town, and it's easy to visit Amsterdam by bus.
Meeting people from different countries made this experience very special.

I had the best experience ever. at a time in my life when I felt lost, here I found a welcoming environment and empathetic colleagues and coworkers, ready to listen to me and support me. I had a great time with the whole team and at the same time I worked in a healthy environment, with flexible hours and simple tasks to keep the hostel clean for everyone. I would like to thank all the staff, Salvatore, Patrick, Frank, Carlo, and Thijs, but also the other volunteers who shared this wonderful experience with me, Mavi, Rowen, Tomas, David, and Ben. This is my second world packers the hostel! The facilities were nice with curtains and hot water. The morning shift is from 11AM-3PM, the evening shift is from 7PM-11PM and the middle shift is the one in between those.i combined my days off so I could spend four days exploring Belgium and Luxembourg! Would definitely say it was worth it!
