I had a wonderful time at Mark's place. He and his daughter are warm, welcoming, and incredibly generous. The cabin I stayed in was clean and private, and the property is beautiful. Mark taught me a lot about permaculture and let me choose the tasks I wanted to do. Besides the interesting work, he made me feel very welcome, introduced me to his friends, and I joined him for yoga classes. He also organized a beautiful waterfall day trip. I truly enjoyed all the great conversations we shared over meals and cups of tea. It's a special and peaceful place if you love gardening and tranquility.

I stayed for 10 days and had a really positive experience. Tasks are completely fair, I did mainly pruning and weeding but also some other gardening bits and painting. Accomodation is comfortable and private, you help yourself to breakfast and lunch, and dinner is shared in the main house. On time off, Mark is super generous with rides into town and suggestions for what to do in the area, and in general I felt really welcomed and taken care of. Would definitely recommend!

It was a very nice stay at our kind hosts place. Mark is a great individual, who is very polite and introduces you into the local community.
The work is very fair and Mark explains everything you need to know for work and shares his knowledge about permaculture with you.
The trips with him were very nice and interesting.
Thank you, Mark!
P.S.: I would agree to everything Alexa wrote in her review.

We had an amazing time at Mark’s place and he is a fantastic host! From the beginning, he was very welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable. The work is fair and flexible, and we learned a lot about permaculture, plants, and animals. On our days off, Mark took us on great trips or dropped us off in town. He also cooked delicious vegetarian meals, and we enjoyed spending evenings together. Mark introduced us to local life, gave helpful travel tips, and made our stay truly special. We highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys a rural livestyle, gardening, and outdoor activities.

Our stay with Mark was one of the most impactful and heart opening experiences we've had while traveling. He is a patient knowledgeable and eager teacher and a well respected member of the permaculture community. We feel so blessed to have been welcomed into Mark's home and to contribute to his property. Our stay was perfect and cozy: we had our own dwelling which included a bedroom, bathroom and outdoor kitchenette, patio, and a deck where we enjoyed doing yoga in the mornings! This of course, was just supplementary to the yoga classes that Mark brought us to during our stay. we love Mark!

Mark was a very nice host, he made me feel at home instantly. The area is very rural and the nature is beautiful. The work was mostly weeding and pruning. On the weekends Mark took me to the nearest towns and I participated in a yoga class, which I really recommend. In the evenings Mark would cook very tasty meals and sometimes we would watch a Netflix show. Another great thing about staying at Marks is his Mosaik art. He lets you make a little piece yourself to take home.

Beautiful location, an area I probably wouldn't have visited ever if not for this Worldpackers Experience. The place is in a secluded area, and while Mark is more than happy to give the occasional lift to town (especially when he's going into town which is often) I would recommend having a car for longer stays (2 weeks+). I would recommend the waterfall trip Mark offers, fun day with beautiful views and great natural “pool”. Work is very manageable, you take your pick of activities and the hours are flexible, you can begin when you like. Food is vegetarian but very balanced and tasty.

I had a nice time volunteering with Mark. He is a very generous man, who enjoys having conversations and sharing experiences. Even though I wasn't there for long he took me to see some places like Eumundi and beautiful the project Heads. The work is gardening and cleaning. The place where I stayed was great, just no WiFi (but there is in the main house). Overall a nice experience to volunteer for a short period of time. I loved his mosaic art and he even let me make a piece myself to take it home!

Had a great time with Mark and his daughters in their lovely fairy garden home. It's just how I'd imagined it to be but even more beautiful. I learned a lot about gardening and permaculture! It's exciting to think I can take these practices home with me. If you're not comfortable with bugs or the outdoors bring a lot of protection. The summer weather is very humid. There's always plenty to do! Mark is very friendly and has an endless set of projects to keep you busy. The local areas are beautiful as well, Mother Nature did not disappoint ; )
