1st week & nature were great, I love It, but the place is a bit unsanitary (rat droppings fell on beds). Host made uncomfortable jokes, which ex-volunteers confirmed. I worked hard (12h, by me). and did my best, but 2nd week, his G.f. arrived, I faced persecution and humiliation; I got sick with fever from sadness. Did not eat. Received indifference and false theft accusations over coffe n bananas I did asked them to buy for muscle cramps. Host was absent, ignored help requests, and let me be expelled while sick. Unsafe for solo women. Lacks humanity and professionalism with W.P. guidelines.

The tasks were easy. I did some vacuuming, cut some bushes, and cleaned the chicken coop. The schedule was fully respected.

Rob is generous and provides good food. We went shopping together, so I could choose the food I preferred. He is easy to talk to and open to sharing his life story.

At the beginning, I applied for three weeks, but during my stay, it was only Rob and me. There were no other volunteers or guests. I felt very isolated, which is why I decided to shorten my stay. I believe the experience would be more enjoyable in spring or summer, with more people to share it with.

The farm was my first Worldpackers volunteer experience and although I went there with a mix of excitement and some hesitation, I ended up having a truly wonderful time. Rob was clear and consistent in his communication both on the platform and in person. The place isn't too far from the nearest town, but it is a bit isolated—perfect for enjoying nature and spending time with the animals. Throughout the two weeks, the tasks were never overwhelming and were enjoyable for me. I really appreciated the opportunity and am grateful for the experience.

Rob is kind and hospitable and shared many of his life experiences. Zomerrust was a great place to be and I enjoyed myself during the two weeks stay here. It was so beautiful in autumn, and quiet and peaceful at night. You will have a great time if you love being in nature and enjoy working with your hands. There’s many cute dogs and cats too! 🙂

Loved my stay at Zommerrust! The tasks were easy and spread out through the day with nice long breaks, so it never felt tiring. There are so many sweet dogs and cats, that make the whole experience even better! The other volunteers and Rob were super nice and fun to talk to. If you're looking for a chill place to connect with nature, animals, and good people, this spot is perfect. Definitely recommend!

I had a great time volunteering with Rob at Zommerrust. The work varied from day to day but included gardening, raking leaves, painting, cleaning, rearranging wood planks etc. The land was beautiful and the dogs and cats were a highlight of the stay. I would definitely recommend this project for anyone who likes spending time in nature!
