Hi Morgana. In your assessment, you mention the function swap, something that was communicated to you via WhatsApp even before your arrival, that would be directed to cleaning, due to the necessity of that task, and you said that everything was fine. Our breakfast is simple, with things that we already eat in our daily life in Maranhão such as: couscous, beiju (tapioca), coffee and typical fruits. You talk about few foods; this was on your first day, when they were running out, but on the second day I bought more food and presented it to you, which you soon stored in the kitchen. Breakfast is not served; you prepare it yourself, we never saw this as an inconvenience and no one ever complained about you preparing your own coffee and not being served. I understand the lack of standardization of processes, and I welcome with an open heart everything you said, therefore I am already working on creating a volunteer manual to help better direct the activities. We have only 2 years of operation, and there is still much to learn and evolve! I imagine that this lack of rules for direction has affected our coexistence, for example having seen you smoking inside the shared room, which was something that upset me and I told you. During your stay, we were undergoing renovations, opening a new integration space inside the hostel, and it really left a lot of dust in the place, I apologize for your discomfort. But I was also very sad about your immature stance and lack of empathy, deciding on the first day to expose this situation in a national group of volunteers calling the hostel "horrible", I think if it were me saying that about you, you wouldn’t like it either.
