The founders are amazing Biology Doctors that keep acting for a successfull reforestation, here you can really feel humans living in harmony with Nature, the hosts are welcomed in comfortable rooms, the local restaurant with homemade cooking and the cozy bar will regenerate every soul. It was such a blessing to find the reserve, ill come back as soom as possible! Thank u <3

My experience in the reserve was outstanding! There is so much nature to watch, observe and enjoy. You will fall in love with the dogs and cats in the house. The activities are agreed with the host in advance and you get to choose what you feel comfortable with. I gave English and yoga classes what was really fun. I definitely recommend this place and would love to go back there again someday. Thanks the reserve 💕🐆

We enjoyed our time on the reserve, the reserve is absolutely beautiful. However, we felt that communication could be improved. It is essential to speak intermediate Spanish. The first week we felt quite out of place as we didn't receive much information about the tasks, expections, or info about the reserve. We didn't know who to ask questions to or have anyone checking in. I was able to teach yoga only a few times during our stay, I think the position description should be updated to outline the gardening and maintenance work required. Gloria was helpful and the stuff were friendly.

Volunteering at the reserve was a truly nurturing experience for the body mind and soul. From the moment I arrived I was welcomed by the staff, who took the time to explain and educate me about how everything works there. the reserve is a living system that invites to relax and let go, it has such a nurturing and healing energy that now I understand it is more of a sacred sanctuary. I taught yoga for the guest, and helped in various areas as needed, but most of the time I was just relaxing and connecting with the land. I'm so grateful for Katherine & her parents, my heart is full🤍✨

I had a great time at the reserve. Its a place remote in the jungle with a lot of animals around. All the tasks are easy to get done, at one point you can choose your own tasks. All the people at the reserve are easyto get along with and try to help in any case. Thanks for that! I would recommend being able to speak either german or spanish, it makes communication way easier because no one there speaks english. You have a lot of time for your own, be aware of it, its not a place to meet a lot of different people more being with yourself and nature. Thanks for the occasion to learn at this place!

It's a beautiful place, surrounded by Colombia's incredible nature and by people who, from day one, made me feel at home. The tasks were simple, enjoyable and very enriching, allowing me to learn about caring for the environment and the culture of the Sierra Nevada. Staying in the reserve was an unparalleled experience; I stayed for almost a month and I liked every single day I was there. I didn't go out much because there it was perfect to feel fulfilled and calm. I felt very happy walking around the reserve, watching the babillas, the macaws; all the reptiles there are of different colors and all very beautiful. I have no complaints about any of the locals; Kathe and her parents are always very kind, they are willing to teach you many things about the place, and with the staff there everything was perfect as well. Without a doubt I recommend the reserve.

It was an incredible experience. The people who work there are great, very understanding, flexible, and know how to adapt to the people they host to give them the most suitable job.
The place is magical and very quiet. You just have to keep in mind that the location on Worldpackers isn't exact and is very far from the center, so the commutes are long and expensive. It's important to budget well.
Nevertheless, it was a unique experience that I highly recommend.
