This was an amazing experience. Garrett and Jean were amazing hosts. The place was beautiful, lots of surfing, lots of amazing food. And you actually get the chance to share with locals and learn about Taiwan. I came with no expectations and I left surprised and completely grateful about everything I experienced. the hostel is just amazing, amazing place, people and vibe. Completely recommend it. Cons: too much good food and too much beach and too much fun. maybe you can get tired of it.

The hosts Jean & Garret are lovely people & they have created such a nice place for backpackers to come and feel at home, the work is very chill and simple and with the other volunteers it felt like working with one big family! This has been one of my favorite volunteering experiences! The hosts are truely amazing people, the working hours are fair and you get lots of benefits like surf lessons, party's, some drinks, access to surf boards and especially a great time! I will definitely come back to this place if I have the opportunity to. The place Jean and garad have created is incredible. The only problem is that it's a bit far away from the town and grocery shops are far away, but if you search for a quiet, chill place where you can meet lots of travelers, the hostel go to the beach you should come here.

I loved my stay here, Garrett and Jean were so kind and welcoming! The hours are straightforward and easy, the food they give us on our working days is always super good, especially if they cook! I will miss all the hostel, pasta and Taiwanese food I ate during my time here. I loved it so much that I extended an extra week because I was not ready to leave yet. You get to surf, meet people from all over the world, eat great food and just have a good time. See you guys again real soon!

I had such a good time here!! Jean and Garrett are so sweet and laid back, it was so easy to work for them. I was hired to help out bussing tables and serving guests but they taught me how to make the hostel bartend after I expressed interest in learning. The surfboards they provide were in great shape and the beach is right in front of the house. The nearest grocery store is only one train station away or around 30 minutes by foot so it's still fairly convenient. I would love to come back here again!!

The the hostel was such a great experience! Garrett and Jean were really kind and they made you feel like home. The place is great for learning to surf as there are always waves and you are really close to the beach. Perfect if youre looking for a more quiet place outside of Taipei
