The food is some of the best I have had, all local ingredients. The team there are super lovely and I will definitely be returning when I'm back in the area. Staying here was like living with a second family, together with the hosts and the other volunteers. The work was only in the morning, for about 4 hours. I would say this was a relaxing experience, but at the same time participating in the growing community and project that is Ka' Ula requires an effort, especially on an emotianal level, so be ready to get involved and to connect deeply with the space and the people. This experience is so meaningful to me. I met a lot of different people and I got along very fast with the other volounteers too. The main thing that knocked me while staying in Vilano is the sense of community that you can feel there and in the other nearby villages!! The tasks were always different and I noticed that Maria tried to adapt them to the individual abilities of each volunteer. This experience gave me the chance to grow as a human being in such a short time. I'd recommend it to anyone who really believes in this project and is looking for a (re)connection with nature!!

The experience I had while I was here was exceptional. This was my first Worldpackers experience, and unfortunately I don't know if another one will ever compare. The people and environment were so welcoming; I immediately felt like I had found a home. I celebrated my birthday during my stay, and everyone made me feel so loved and seen. At no point did I feel out of place. There is a certain energy present in their home that carries with you long after you leave. We hung out with locals, met many international travelers, swam in beautiful rivers. I learned about peaceful and slow living.

I truly do not think words can express how important and beautiful my stay here was. Michele and Maria Ylenia welcomed me into their life with such kindness and love. I feel forever grateful that I was able to meet them and be a part of their home and wish I had the time to stay longer. At the home you are there and are immediately part of the family, laughing and singing and dancing. You can feel the love and energy that is embedded in the space and it's people so fully. Words cannot describe what the experience in the home was! Michele and Maria are calm, kind-hearted people that make you feel like you are at home. This is the most authentic and genuine way to experience the italian culture ❤️ The work was simple and often very intuitive since you need to treat the house as your own! I had the most amazing time at the home! Michele and Maria Ylenia are amazing human beings, so kind and caring. Before coming here, I had no idea how much I could grow in such a short period of time. The work was very diverse. We did construction, repairs, painting, gardening, and whatever was needed. But what made this place special was the people. I felt welcomed from day one and quickly became part of the community. I learned so much about myself, laughed every day, and I'm leaving happier, freer, and incredibly grateful. What a fantastic experience at the home! Michele & Maria Ylenia are such fantastic, genuine hosts who have truly crafted a space for mindfulness, presence, and community. A humble space in a gorgeous, remote spot in the mountains, I found a lot of time to be introspective while also connecting with locals & fellow volunteers. Tasks were decided & completed in the morning and involved either gardening or cleaning, relaxed though! We also had shared lunches, dinners, and frequent trips to the local river (beautiful!) :) I found it great a 'healthy isolation', balanced with connection too!
