I really wanted to experience working in a hostel, so it was worth it. Thank you so much David for helping in tasks i was uncomfortable doing! The low point for me is the dorm which is tiny and uncomfortable for 8 people sharing so you gotta be really wanting this adventure. You have a lot of time off tho, summer must be much better

This was my first hostel volunteer experience and it was truly unforgettable. I made so many amazing friends and learned lots of new skills. The other volunteers I met during my stay were super cool and supportive, which made the experience really fun. Like with any job, the volunteering was stressful at times and there is a lot of pressure placed on the volunteers at the hostel. Regardless, I would really recommend this experience because of the friendships I made and being able to experience Amsterdam in a new way. Thank youuuu the hostel Amstel <3

Volunteering at the hostel Amstel has been wonderful. Agus is a fantastic manager, and the staff team/volunteers make this such a fun environment! Nico (the hostel cat) also brings so much joy :) The volunteer work is straightforward and everything is clearly communicated. I was here during renovations and it has been great to see everything come together. The hostel is in a lovely neighbourhood, right across from a beautiful park. I can't recommend this place enough, and I hope to be back one day. Thank you for everything 🧡🌷

Many worldpackers have been applying to this position recently. The host will probably not be able to respond to all of the applications, so we recommend that you also apply to other hosts in our community and not just this one :)
