If you plan to volunteer here you'll have a very very kind host who's thoughtful and easygoing. You will also need to be ready for plenty of free time and mostly rainy days! But one of the best parts is that you will be staying in the coziest caravan between the mountains. I had a great experience! Kristian has built something really special in Fjæra, and it was truly a privilege to help bring his vision to life. Additionally, Kristian is a very generous and considerate host.
The work is simple and enjoyable, there is plenty of downtime, and you are surrounded by some truly majestic Norwegian nature.
If you are looking for excitement and action this may not be the spot for you, as this is in a small remote village. But if you are looking to take life slow, appreciate the local nature, and chill out this is your spot!

This is a beautiful little place located between mountains , fjords and riversides! The working Staff who's working there for several years now, are respectful and professional in their approach to volunteers. The work/working hours can be better organised.Kristian the owner is easy to talk to & professional ,together you find suitable solutions. It's a place for nature lovers, great for hiking, Via Ferrata. All together a great experience! ✨

My stay in Fjaera has been phenomenal! Kristian it's an amazing host , respectful and funny. I had the opportunity to learn many new skills and be in contact with nature! The place I slept it's a caravan and was all I need to be comfortable! The structure you will work is fantastic and I had my best time enjoying the sauna . I will definitely do it again and advise it to new volunteers :)

I'll try to sum this experience up to the best of my abilities but words can't possibly describe how amazing this trip has been for us (me and my girlfriend). Kristian is an amazing host who truly truly cares about his workers and always asks if everything is alright and really wants you to have a good time as well. Thanks to him, we were able to do all the activities we had in mind and he even surprised us for our special day that we wanted to celebrate. We can recommend this experience to everyone and you won't be disappointed! Amazing views, nice people to work with, very friendly host, etc

I absolutely loved my time in akrofjorden!!! kristian is an amzing person , was very nice and considerate. he was really understanding and even encouraging of the fact that i was a volunteer , and that i should also explore norway. that hours of work where very flexible - you can talk to kristian about anything and make a plan of the volunteer and travel balance with him. he is very easy on days and times that you can go hiking , on trip to another city and so on. the place is gorgeous , you will slepp in caravan that is perfect and comfortable . kristian made me feel very at home !!

My time at the camping site was very special. The surroundings are beautiful, with dramatic nature. There are several sites nearby for hiking. The tasks were simple (though with a minimum physical requirement) and I had a lot of free time to explore the area or simply to relax. The caravan where I lived was very comfortable and cozy. I quickly felt at home. Kristian is very nice and flexible, he communicates very well and was always attentive to make sure I was comfortable. I felt very comfortable with him and I am very grateful for the experience, which I recommend without hesitation!
