I had a great time volunteering at Boris’. He is a very welcoming, warm, and funny host. I was a bit nervous before coming as I had never had any renovation experience, but the work was actually really enjoyable and Boris was very encouraging even if you found something a bit difficult. The hours were really fair, and we had lots of free time in the days. On the days off, Boris drove us to some gorgeous hikes and we watched some films or played cards in the evenings. I had such a great time here and Boris was very accommodating with me wanting to improve my French. I had a really great time!!

A place for people who value connection, learning and good moments. What made this experience special was Boris's genuine care in bringing everyone together. From shared meals and sunsets to lake swims, bike rides to La Bourboule and movie nights, I made lovely memories with him, Jerónimo, Jin and Inês. Boris is really thoughtful, from respecting working hours to providing electric bikes that give volunteers the freedom to explore. It makes a big difference! I'm grateful for everything I learned, the friendships I made and the kindness I received. Merci, Boris, et à bientôt! ❤️

I had an unforgettable two weeks here! We worked and ate together every day, shared food from our countries, played card games, watched movies, talked and laughed a lot. Boris is kind, fun, and always made sure we had everything we needed. We worked about 4 hours in the morning and had the afternoons free. On our days off, Boris took us to see beautiful villages, waterfalls, lakes and volcanic landscapes. I loved sitting on the grass in front of the house, watching the red sunsets and night sky. It felt like home, and we became real friends. My best volunteering experience! ❤️❤️

It was my first worldpackers experience, but I cannot be happier. I found myself in a beautiful and rich environment, where i could immerse in nature, in the local culture, but also in new relations with fantastic people coming from all over the world. The host is funny and clear, the work-life balance is really good, everything is decided in advance and there's a lot of free time. I could practice english and french and explore the nature of this beautiful region. In the last few days the atmosphere changed a little bit due to some misunderstandings but I really recommend the experience.

I had three wonderful weeks in France with Boris, all his friends, and the other volunteers I got to know. We had so much fun together. While I was there, we set up the kitchen - it was great to see the progress. In the afternoons, Boris often took us to La Bourboule or to the lake. Another plus are the e-bikes and the beautiful area for hiking. Each volunteer cooked a traditional dish from their own country. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who's open to meeting new people and learning about new cultures. Thank you so much, 👑 Boris!

Being at Boris' home was one of the best experiences I've ever had. As my first volunteering trip, I was nervous about what to expect, but Boris is welcoming, kind, generous and so funny. The work brings everyone together as you share the goal of improving the house, and you quickly become like a little family. The afternoon activities were always varied and so much fun, and Boris made sure we could make the most of every day. Hiking, swimming, chatting, everything made it so enjoyable. I honestly couldn't recommend this experience more. Choose this place to volunteer!!!

I had a great first volunteering experience at Le Gîte the lodge! I had the chance to learn new skills and grow on a personal level. Boris cares about the volunteers and wants to create a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. The working hours are respected and Boris makes sure that the tasks fit the skills of the volunteers. When we were off work, he showed us beautiful spots in the area and we had the freedom to explore the area. I highly value the peaceful time I could spend in nature and the relationships I developed with the other volunteers.

Le Gîte the lodge was my first volunteer experience. At first i was a litttle bit lost, with doubts about everything and trying to do as good as possible to fit in the team. I had time to think about life, creating memories and dreaming. Boris has be come my friend, he showed me to no take things so seriously and keep persona what i love. Nawel, Madeleine, Maria, Talia and Simond(the volunteers) were also amazing people. Everyone a world. I experienced a lot of diferentes feelings, but things are simple i think, Thank you for everything :)

I couldn't have asked for a better experience, nor a more wonderful host than Boris. I spent an incredible week staying in his beautiful place, he provided me with clean room with private shower and toilet. The volunteer tasks are straightforward and easy, Boris is always willing to offer guidance and support whenever needed. The home cooked meal with local ingredients are absolutely delicious ( he had the best cheese in the world);he also gives volunteers plenty of freedom to experiment in the kitchen, letting us cook up all kinds of dishes and cuisines.

Had an amazing experience here! Learnt so much. Boris is kind, patient, and respectful. He made sure we felt safe, supported, and checked in on us often. Great vibe with the other volunteers too, very collaborative. Loved experiencing local food and culture, and sharing food from my own too. The location is beautiful, peaceful and away from the city, but close enough.
