The area was beautiful for experiencing ecological living, permaculture and sustainability. The caravan was comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and I really enjoyed staying there. My host also took me to many local places, which made the experience more enjoyable. Living there taught me about managing everyday resources such as water, electricity and food. Being close the nature was memorable experience - included the enthusiastic mosquitoes! :) We sometimes had communication difficulties due to the language barrier, but overall I had a positive experience and would recommend this project.

The project's a beautiful island. I would spend my afternoons swimming in the ocean. The villa is a great nature immersion & the nearby town is lovely. Only downside was that bikes weren't usable during my stay. I think equipment listed as available including the locks, should be checked before new volunteers arrive. Ursula was incredibly warm & caring. Emilio wasn't there but work ran smoothly & was rewarding. I'd happily come back for the full experience, & to do more complex arch projects. Overall it's a great opportunity if you're independent, proactive, enjoy nature, comfortable using tools.

Emilio is a wonderful human. He was great at communicating through WhatsApp as he was in Germany at the time. He gave great instructions on how to do the work and allowed me to independently complete tasks. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend

We helped Emilio with a construction project and really enjoyed the trust and independence in the process. Emilio guided us through tasks and was good at communicating over text whilst being in Germany. Emilio was super supportive and gave us lots of flexibility as we got sick whilst volunteering, giving us time to recover. We are super grateful for the experience and Emilio's kindness.

This was the most mind blowing experience I had in my whole existence. It's a surreal immersion in nature and an incredible way to connect with Mother Earth. You learn a lot about boundaries with nature and how to behave in front of the giant. The host is an incredible person, very welcoming and committed. I had a great experience! Totally recommended 💛

Honestly it was okay, the finca, fellow volunteers and town were cool, however Emilio sent me a sexually inappropriate message and it just made me uncomfortable for the rest of my stay, I didn't appreciate how he spoke to other volunteers and he really needs to work on his communication. I'm pretty chill with most things but this didn't sit right with me.

Emilio replied

Hey Paige, I don’t know what to say…
The message was basically: that I thought in you in the date I had.
Basically in what we talked with Javi about the term “uggs”, things you find unattractive in a person. Term I didn’t know about before and I experienced after you explained this same week.
Told you I explain later, just we never talk about again. Had zero interest in you in that way and never express that and you know it.
That you write that here and leave me a bad review is just unfair.
