Hello, this is Tom and Liam. We really enjoyed our stay at Las Horquetas. We couldn't wish for us to stay at a more special place than this one. From farming the beautifull lands to slaughtering a lamb and being within the beautiful mountains that Chile has to offer. We already miss Norma Ricardo and the 4 dogs so much.
Also we felt so welcomed at their place as if they were our own grandparents. It was really fun to learn everything we had to do at the farm and after a week we could for example herd the sheep of the land ourselves together with the dogs. Also we have learned Chilean Spanish.

What a great experience! I loved staying with Kathy, Marcello, Margo and Vitalino, they all made me feel very welcome and comfortable. They were also very patient with my terrible Spanish. The work was never too intense and was different everyday, I helped with daily fame activities like collecting food, preparing the land and tending to the animals. We also got to do some basic construction stuff. Overall it was an excellent experience and a great insight into rural life in Chile. They are a lovely family with a great way of life in a very beautiful part of the world. I would return anytime!

It was undoubtedly a beautiful experience! Kathy and Marcelo welcomed me with open arms and with all the possible comforts and more. I felt very welcomed and safe with them, as if I were in my own home. The work I did in the garden was a lot of fun. I learned how to weed, plant seeds, clean drawers, etc… Kathy is ultra mega flexible with any need you may have, whether it's the working hours or any comfort of yours inside the house. They live far away from everything, which, in my opinion, adds a special touch to the experience. I recommend it!!! :)

It was a truly beautiful experience, and if I could, I would have stayed much longer. Since I arrived, Margot and Vitalino welcomed me with a lot of affection and made me feel like part of their family, something I value and am grateful for from the bottom of my heart. It is an incredible place, surrounded by nature, tranquility, and full of small lessons every day. I carry with me many beautiful memories, conversations, laughter, and moments that I will cherish. I would definitely recommend experiencing this. I hope someday I can come back to visit them.

One of the best experiences I have ever had, Kathy and Marcelo have always made us feel at home. The working hours vary but they do not reach five hours; they are calm and very flexible jobs. The house is cozy and very close to the Puelo River, which is wonderful. I would return without a doubt!

It was an amazing first experience. From the start Katherina, Marcelo, and the kids welcomed me with a lot of warmth. The tasks were varied. I mainly focused on the garden; if you don't mind getting your hands a bit dirty, you'll enjoy the work. You can do it at your own pace, and there is a lot of flexibility around the schedule to do the tasks. In the afternoons you can take advantage of walking around the area or go to the river, which is very close; the scenery is very beautiful.
They are a big family, full of energy, who will welcome you right away and include you as one of them.

From day one they were very kind to me, even before traveling we were in constant contact with Kathy, always attentive to my trip, asking and guiding me about the itinerary. Upon arrival, Margot greeted me with a nice mate and made it clear that I was one more member of the family. There were more volunteers, which also made me feel more comfortable. They gave me a fairly cozy and private room. The work is home-based work, quite relaxed and in good company. In my case I was only there for 10 days but in the end I stayed the whole month, everyone is incredible people. I will return. Recommended.

The house was my first experience as a volunteer, and I ended up really happy with the whole family that welcomed me. They taught me about the place and life in the house; they recommended and guided me to visit those wonderful places that are in the area.
