I absolutely loved my Time at the school!! It was my first time volunteering outside the country and I do not regret a single thing. Everyone was sososo nice. The Students, the Staff and even the dogs at my accommodation:)) Benji and Tayga were the cutest. Also assisting in offline and online classes was very fun. On the Weekends you are allowed to be a part of ,,Sprachreisen“ and see the country even more. I truly appreciate the time, since I made a lot of new friends, I can't wait to meet in Germany sometime. I also appreciated the fact that everything is provided. I would love to come back!!

The school is a great institution, I was literally the best thing that happened to me during my travels! The students are incredibly friendly and motivated, the tasks are fair and I had so much fun doing it, Lombok is stunning, the nature will take your breath away! I highly recommend this opportunity to everyone, I will come and work with them again!

I had an amazing time at the school and already miss it! You live in a house shared with other volunteers or students and receive catering at your door every weekday. The main tasks are participating in and preparing online and offline lessons, organizing activities, and spending time with the students while speaking German. It's really not much, and I honestly enjoyed it a lot! I can't emphasize enough how nice and welcoming everyone is, and how much I loved the nature, food, and culture of Lombok. After a few days I felt warmly welcomed by housemates, students, teachers and the staff. I got to know so many different storys and laughed a lot. The work includes helping teachers with their online and offline lessions and organazing one activity a week for the students. It is located in the local area where people barly speak english - students helped me a lot with translation. Nevertheless, you can go on weekendtrips to tourism areas by motorbike. I really enjoyed the stay at the school and I learned so much!

I was just a really short time there, course I had go leave early. So i didn't really could help them, bad the people there and everything was so nice and cool. And when I told them that I had to go home again, they were so nice and understandable. Thank you

Volunteering with this organization was an incredibly positive and memorable experience. From the first day, I was welcomed by both the teachers the students and the other volunteer. Everyone was friendly, open, and always willing to help.
Eyeryone was always eager to learn more german and more about my culture even after the lessons.
Overall im very gratefull for the time i spent with them and for the friends i made there.

I had a great time at the school. From the students, some friendships have arisen. I can definitely recommend the school. The employees are all super nice and always greet you with a smile. They are super helpful and it is fun to work at the school.

I had an amazing time at the school! What stood out the most to me were the people. The staff, students and other volunteers are truly some of the nicest, most welcoming people I've met and I've made such cherished friendships during my stay. At times, things can feel a bit unorganized. Some other volunteers didn't get to teach once certain courses ended, so there were moments when there wasn't much to do. However, everyone was always helpful and you end up with lots of free time to explore Lombok rather than working a full 25h/week. Overall, great place and great people. Thank u for everything!

My stay at DS was very nice. I quickly met lots of lovely new people & developed friendships. I enjoyed the activities we did together & was able to gain experience in teaching both off- & online. I probably arrived in Lombok at an inopportune time, as there wasn't much work for me to do initially. However, Girind & Tobi are always willing to listen & are very helpful, so I was able to tell them about points I wasn't happy with, which they improved immediately. If you're a light sleeper like me, you should be aware that there are 3 mosques nearby singing at 4.30 a.m. Thank u for everything! <3

I really enjoyed my stay. From start to finish, I couldn't complain! Only the organization was sometimes a bit chaotic. I think it's great that you get your own room and three meals a day. All the tutors were really friendly and welcoming. The students were also very open and interested. I can really recommend it. I think this is the best volunteering program you can find on Lombok. the school offers a lot! I had an incredible amount of fun and I'll miss everyone. This experience is worth it!
