Planned to stay for 4 weeks but left after 3 days due to Brian's disrespectful and condescending behaviour and clear need for hierarchy. Living conditions were very dirty and there was no working shower in the house. He complained that having volunteers in his house was hard but refused to let us stay in his usual guesthouse as pictured on his profile. We did not feel comfortable in his home. Our experience at the farm was unfortunately not an enjoyable one and we left after 3 days. The work on the farm was fair and manageable, very muddy and wet outside to be expected especially in winter. Grateful to experience taking care of the sheep with fresh lambs being born. The living condition of the home was poor, extremely dirty throughout. No working shower available inside the building. The reason for leaving early was the disrespectful communication toward my self and my wife which was not tolerable. Transport to Dublin with the local buses is available.

The farm is a really nice place, and Brian is a great host. It is located an hour and a half away from Dublin, and you can always take the Sillan bus to move between them. I would recommend the place for those who enjoy rural life or want a time off from the city. The work is pretty manageable, and you always have a lot of free time for yourself (:
