Blackshot Space isn't just a coffee shop — it's a space built for ambitious people. We're a WFC (Work From Café) concept coffee shop in Palembang, South Sumatra, serving 100% arabica coffee. Our tagline is #fuelyourambition, and we mean it.

We're looking for travelers who love coffee, enjoy connecting with people, and want a genuine Indonesian experience beyond Bali and Java. Palembang is one of the oldest cities in Southeast Asia, famous for its food (pempek, tekwan, model), the Musi River, and warm, welcoming locals — but almost no tourists come here. You'll be one of the very few foreigners in the city, which means every interaction is authentic and every day is an adventure.

As a volunteer, you'll work alongside our barista team learning specialty coffee (espresso calibration, latte art, manual brew), serve customers, and experience what it's like to run a real Indonesian coffee shop from the inside. No prior barista experience needed — we'll teach you everything.

Beyond the bar, we'll collaborate on content together. We'll film your journey — from learning to pull your first espresso shot to exploring Palembang's street food scene — for our social media channels. If you enjoy being on camera or creating content, this is a perfect fit.

Activities & Shift

Your main role is barista — working behind the bar alongside our team. A typical day looks like this:

- Learn to make specialty coffee: espresso, latte art, manual brew (V60, pour over)
- Serve customers at the bar: taking orders, cashier, making drinks
- Practice hospitality: greeting customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere (this is our #1 priority — we want our volunteers to be warm and friendly)
- Help with daily café operations: cleaning, restocking, opening/closing procedures
- Content collaboration: we'll film some videos together for social media — your experience as a foreigner learning Indonesian coffee culture
