The atmosphere was amazing, the hospitality unlike anything I have ever experienced 🫶 I was taken care of through and through and looked out for by this family from the second I stepped into their home. Margaita, Tina, Vickey, Thomas, grandma and all their little kiddos were the absolute best and will always hold a special place in my heart! I recommend this to absolutely anyone, I can ensure that you will have the best time and experience of your life with the guest house! I'll be back soon <3

Margarita and her family are not just amazing hosts, but also became beloved friends. The working hours flew by and I just feel blessed that I could spend time in such peaceful place and in the company of such great people. The work itself is about basic housekeeping tasks and there's always someone around to teach and help. There's plenty of time to chill, enjoy the beach and explore the surroundings on the days off. I'll miss my time in Himara and for sure I'll keep this experience in my heart forever 🤍

Tina and her family made me feel so so welcome right away, her meals were amazing and was happy to get you any food u needed from the store.
The work was fair and exactly as expected but goes by really quickly with a short break in between.
I would recommend this experience to anyone who's looking for a chill beach break for a while, himara is so peaceful.

Working at the guest house was without a doubt a highlight experience from my life. Tina and her family made me feel instantly and consistently welcomed and a part of the family. The location is less than a 5 minute walk away from the center beach town of Himara, which has plenty of restaurants and bars alongside the water. The beach itself is absolutely stunning, and there are some water based activites, such as boat tours, that are accessible. The work hours were clear and matched up exactly with the WP Description. It quickly became a home away from home, and I could not recommend this more.

It was such a great experience staying at the guest house. I felt very welcomed from the first moment and they do everything to make you feel comfortable. The family was so nice and warm-hearted. I also got to know a lot about local culture. Especially the food was so amazing! On your free days, there is so much to experience in and around Himare and you can go to the beach everyday, as it's just a 5 minute walk away. Volunteering at the guest house is a great opportunity to learn about the local culture, spend time with amazing people, and also enjoy a wonderful vacation. I truly recommend it 💕✨

My first experience with Worldpackers, and I couldn't have imagined anything better. The family is charming; they make you feel part of the family from the very first moment, making sure you feel comfortable and that everything is in order. The food they make at lunchtime is spectacular, and for the rest of the meals, they do the shopping so you have what you need. Regarding work time, it's a lot of work, but they make sure you take breaks, during which you can eat whatever you want (and they make sure you do). I highly recommend this place.

This was a wonderful experience! Tina and her family were very welcoming and friendly. I felt like I became a part of their family. There is a lot of work to do but they explain everything and are very good about making sure you take a break. They provide groceries and make an amazing lunch everyday. The beach is only a few minutes walk away and the water is so refreshing after a long day's work. This was a beautiful and living experience. If you want a home away from home, this is it.

This has been my favourite volunteering experience this year! the host was the best person you'll ever meet and her family is beautiful, you'll feel so welcome! the work is usually from 9-3, cleaning rooms, and after work you get to eat the best lunches you'll ever have 😋 i extended my stay by a week because i loved it so much here. the location is amazing - only 5 minutes from the beach, the other volunteers were so much fun, and the host family made me feel so at home i didn't want to leave! would recommend to anyone, thank you guys for having me 🩷

Worst experience. At the beginning they seem rly nice and welcoming, until they unexpectedly kick you out in the middle of the night. I was accused of violating their house rules when in fact none of them were disclosed to me before. They put absolutely zero effort in communication, acting like everything is fine, until I got a message from them in the middle of the night telling me to leave the next morning. I made sure they knew I also work online so I cannot offer more than 5hrs a day, which was agreed on, until it suddenly was a problem. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.

If had you made it clear from the start, as you now claim, that you were working remotely, this would not have become an issue after the fact.The fact bringing a partner at night in the room without informing me is a violation of the basic house rules.A previous conversation had already made it clear that there had been some missteps, but your decision to go to the beach the same day you claimed to be unwell and working remotly completely undermined my trust.Further discussion had no meaning.
