The hostel is very cozy and close to the beach. I worked the evning shift and helped with reception and gusts, cleaning a bit and closing the hostel. The hours went quick because I had plenty of time to socialice with the other gusts which is really nice. Dani and Tania are very nice people. Inviting me to activates like football and meditation , helping me and spreading good energy. I can absolutely recommend this place. Rincon is beautiful and after 2 weeks i could have stayed longer. Thank you for this experience!

Rincon del Mar is an amazing place, a beautiful authentic experience, the experience with the host was good as well and the interaction with the team really great.
The accomodation was also ok, the only thing that was a bit disturbing was the fact that a damaged mosquito net was provided and keeping in mind the location very close to the mangroove, the mosquitos really had feast.
For a moment I felt that my volunteering here has a negative impact on the laboral life of the locals, as the guy living bext door and working in the reception was not called to work anymore from the day I start.

Rincón del Mar is a magical paradise that has it all. Important: the hostel changed management and is now called Água Sol, run by Daniel. It is essential to agree with him in advance on tasks, schedules, and responsibilities to make the most of the experience. The beach is very close and was one of the best I’ve ever known. The team is amazing and very kind, Marcela is the best! There are some tours and I got discounts for volunteering. The town is quiet, ideal for enjoying the day, since there is almost no nightlife. There are no ATMs and everything operates in cash! Very grateful ❤️

Nice experience at the Taida Youth Hostel. Tania & Dani are very involved with local actors, which places you between travelers and locals and offers a rich experience of sharing, discovery and language practice :)

I really enjoyed my experience at the Hostel Youth Hostel, Rincón del Mar is a quiet village and I was able to take advantage of discounts for excursions as a volunteer (ecotour in the mangroves, plankton tour, to the islands). I stayed in a dorm for 3 with a fan and I had a small locker for my valuables. Daniel and Tania are very friendly and motivated to learn French. We set in-person class times upon my arrival. It is not necessary to be too strict about the schedules and do not hesitate to communicate if something bothers you.

Rincon del Mar is a very beautiful, tranquil place and perfect for relaxing. There are some tours that make the experience much richer.
Regarding volunteering, it's quite relaxed. The staff are lovely and the vibe of the hostel itself is very pleasant.
I must point out that you might do some activity outside of what was agreed and if you're not on shift and they need you, you may have to handle it.
I believe some of the situations I went through would not have happened if there had been a bit more communication and guidance.
These are details that happened but did not ruin my overall experience

The hostel was a very nice place that taught me many beautiful things. I met Tania and Daniel, two incredible and super kind people. The house chores are simple and that leaves you time to enjoy and explore Rincón del Mar. You connect with other travelers, the girls in the house are very dear and the spaces are comfortable, calm and cozy. Without a doubt, I would go back to do this volunteering 🤍
