I really enjoyed my stay on the beautiful Saona Island, working with Adam and the other members of the host team. Adam is a very friendly and fair person who always tries to make things work as well as possible for everyone involved. During my stay, I had plenty of time to read, relax, and explore the island. I highly recommend this volunteering experience to anyone who wants to live in paradise, improve their Spanish or English, and escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Very nice experience with Adam and his crew in El the host Beach Bar & the host. If you already have experience working in restaurants, this will be very easy for you. If not, this is the perfect place to learn about it. Conditions are a bit rustic (problems with water are often), but that's expected on a small, isolated island. Beaches are beautiful, though. The food is good and abundant even for a vegetarian like me. Working hours and days off are respected. Mosquitos are nasty, bring a repellent. No WiFi, but Claro works just fine. Adam is ready to help, whatever is needed. Recommended!

The island is beautiful and the host is right in front of the sea, with amazing sunsets every day 🌅 Adam is friendly, helpful, and happy to teach you about cocktails and the host business. He and his partner are very good at what they do. 😊 You'll meet people from all over the world and build great connections, including with other volunteers. The accommodation is simple and basic, but if you're adaptable, you can fully enjoy the experience. 🏝️

My experience here was amazing! It was my second time on the island (the first through another app), and it always feels magical. In the mornings you see tourists, but later the island becomes a peaceful paradise with locals. It's also a great chance to practice Spanish, since only a few people speak English. And if you need some change, you can take a boat to lively Bayahibe for a few days. Adam is the perfect host – flexible with days off and hours, and all tasks are simple and clearly explained. If you love nature, you have to come here!

My experience as a volunteer was one of the best I could have had. During this period, I had the opportunity to meet many people, learn a new language, the creole, and also to get closer to the Polish language and culture.

Our host, Adam, was an amazing person throughout the experience. We had a good structure, food, a very comfortable accommodation and, above all, freedom and tranquility to enjoy volunteering in the best possible way poss

Although I have no experience in other volunteer programs, since this was the first one, I can say that it was the best travel experience of my life, from now on I only want to travel, doing volunteer work.
I told him personally and I'll say it again here "THANKS ADAM".
I 100% recommend living this experience.
Take your time to adjust. It only took me two days.
Tip: get to know the local people, they have a lot to teach us. You can live and be happy with so little!
I have nothing negative to say, I even ended up making friends with the mosquitoes -bring insect repellent anyway ;-)

I was going to stay for 3 months but I left after a month because of the mosquitoes; at night they bite to the extreme. The room is big but I kept resting against the mosquito net, and since there are few volunteers I felt a bit lonely. But the place has some amazing things! The island is a paradise with incredible beaches and a super chill late-afternoon vibe. Go with plenty of repellent and you’ll have a great time. Thank you very much for the experience to Adam and the whole team, they are really cool, they stick to the schedules to the letter and the food is delicious ❤️
