Amazing place to learn rural life and connect yourself to nature and animals and with locals . I have amazing time with Hector and Tiasha, the other volunteer, 4 donkeys, 2 adorable dogs and 2 cats. cannot tell everything with few sentences. Hector was welcoming from the first moment and inviting us to local events, food and gatherings. Work was super managable, 4 hours working on daily works. He offer food and cook some local dishes which was amazing, near by villages was beautiful, everyone, which was his friends, was the sweetest people I've met. Highly recommend this place!!!!

This was truly an amazing and magical experience! Hector and Libre are really kind and pure souls. From the beginning they were really welcoming. Even though I didn’t speak the language, they were patient with me understanding. It was amazing to see there care for the burros, dogs and the people around them. We mostly worked in the garden and helped to take care of the burros. They took us to swim in the river, watch birds up the mountains and festives. I got immersed in the Spanish culture and feel really grateful I could be part of it. Muchas gracias por esta maravillosa experienca!! ☀️🫏🫶🏼

My stay here was absolutely incredible. hector and libre are such genuine, loving souls. they introduced me to their local community and i got to see a lot of live music, swim in the rivers, and see medieval towns near the pyranese with them. they were so patient and supportive of me improving my spanish. it was a treat to spend time with the burros, and the work was very light- the spanish siesta culture is alive and well here. if you want to connect with the welcoming culture of smaller spanish pueblos and practice the language while working with plants and animals, this is a perfect spot

It was an unforgettable experience during the 10 days I stayed. Very grateful to Hector and Libre; they are human beings with a lot of love to give and they welcome you with open arms, sharing about themselves and their local life. The natural surroundings and the animals that coexist are also part of that whole: donkeys, chickens and cotyella (little dog). We went rock climbing for the first time thanks to Maria, a friend of Hector and Libre; and we went to many concerts. A warm, mystical and green space shared with very good company, special mention to Ida, the other volunteer with whom we shared the experience:)

I have really enjoyed my stay at the proyeto. It is a beautiful place, and Héctor and Libre are very attentive, open, inspiring and hospitable people! To whom I have really grown to care about a lot! I have felt very welcome and I am incredibly grateful for all the beautiful places, the recipes and the music they have taught me. I feel inspired and I have loved learning so many new things about the environment, the nature and, of course, the animals. Thank you very much for this experience, which I wholeheartedly recommend! At the project I have felt welcomed and listened to since the very first moment. Héctor and Libre are wonderful, attentive and respectful people, and the tasks are not complicated. I was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave; there I felt at peace. The donkeys are charming, as are all the animals (dogs, cats, chickens) that are at the project. It has been my first experience as a volunteer and I couldn't have chosen better. I leave here very happy, refreshed and with a desire to do more volunteering. The time we spent at the proyeto was an incredible experience that we will undoubtedly carry with us for life. Being with the animals and in the middle of nature charged us as humans and brought us the peace we were seeking. Héctor and Libre are amazing hosts. Héctor is a very wise and calm person; we could learn a lot about the region, its history and, without a doubt, Spanish. Libre is an energetic person, always ready to take you to the adventures that the surroundings offer. We appreciate the time we spent together; we will carry them in our hearts!

Our experience was unforgettable. Living in nature allowed us to reconnect truly, and the outdoor bath was, without a doubt, the best of our lives. Hector and Libre welcomed us with so much affection that they made us feel part of the family. As this was our first volunteering experience, we couldn't have chosen better. We got to know towns, people and traditions that marked us deeply. The work is calm and respected, and the bond with the donkeys was something magical. We will miss Cotiella, Ría, Momina, Minimin and everyone a lot. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything we experienced.

This morning I greeted the proyeto and I miss them a lot already! I want to thank Libre and Héctor, who since day one have made me feel part of their family. They showed me nearby natural places and recommended what to visit. They made me part of their life, welcoming me as a friend. I slept in a caravan and showered in the middle of nature, and everything was very natural. The donkeys have been guardians of many of my thoughts; I had the opportunity to spend time with them, observe them, caress them. For me they are magical animals, as are all those who live here

In the project I had a very good time and learned above all to be more attentive to everything that happens in nature, from the plants and the smallest animals to their relationships and connections with each other. We did many diverse activities, the work wasn't too hard, I loved the donkeys, cats and dogs... Héctor and Libre were extremely kind, generous and welcoming; it also shows that they have an excellent knowledge of what they do and a lot of passion for preserving nature in its pure form. If you're thinking of applying yourself, you're sure you won't regret coming here. :)
