Volunteering at the hostel was a very different experience. I really enjoyed the interaction with Nina (Host) and the volunteers ✨. The hostel is very nice and it really makes you want to create and make art! It's nice to be able to leave a little bit of everyone here in the desert.
I liked the flexibility in the schedule that allowed us to stroll, get to know, watch sunsets, go to the pool, and get to know Paracas...

The experience at Shambala youth hostel was incredible, we were immediately welcomed with open arms!! We had the chance to discover the surroundings and participate in local parties with our host and his friends. We were there just before opening, so no guests yet and the hours were adapted to the desert temperatures (often very hot but that we miss now) We will keep sand as a memory for a few months ;) Can't wait to see the evolution of this hostel!!

El hostel fue como estar en casa, super buena onda, sus perritos hemosos y muy tiernos (Cholín y Luffy ❤️) Las tareas muy tranquilas, el hostel queda súper cerca de Huacachina, así que el plan es perfecto. Alejandro nos regalo un tour a los tubulares y la comida de Juan muy deliciosa, todos son muy formales y respetuosos. Muchas gracias por todo 🙏

La pasé increíble en el hostel. Alejandro, Juan y Tania son muy atentos y con buena vibra. Las tareas son fáciles y los horarios relajados. Me encantó el tour en los tubulares que nos regaló Alejandro. Además, estás a 10 minutos caminando de Huacachina y la comida de Juan... uff, el arroz tapado es otro nivel. Súper recomendado.

Mi estadía en el hostel desde el inicio fue excelente, Charelle, Nina y Diego me hicieron sentir como en casa en todo momento, y pude coordinar mis horarios para trabajar dando mis clases de yoga . Voluntarié en cocina con Juan que un excelente profesional, y ser humano aprendí mucho sobre comidas vegetarianas😍 , y que hicimos un buen equipo de trabajo. Me voy muy contenta de ser parte de este equipo, y sé que será un lugar genial y con una energía única para recibir a nuevos viajeros del mundo. Mi estadía en el hostel fue simplemente espectacular. Nina, Charelle y los demás chicos hacen que esta experiencia se sienta como estar en casa. El proyecto que tienen está muy lindo, amé ser parte del proceso y ver como todo va tomando forma. Los chicos son muy flexibles con los horarios. Juan de Dios cocina exquisito. Realmente olvidas que estás laborando y las tareas son muy sencillas. Gracias chicos por todo <3

La experiencia fue buena sin embargo estuvimos unas semanas sin anfitriones y fue totalmente diferente la comida es buena el desayuno aveces lo preparan aveces tú te lo preparas el almuerzo siempre está preparado y la cena te l preparas tu, las instalaciones aún están en reparación, las habitaciones están bien equipadas. Es un espacio cómodo y muy tranquilo considero que se podría tener un poco más de comunicación.

We are very grateful for Maela's help during her stay at Shambala Hostel. She helped us with the painting and several other tasks, which was a great contribution while we prepared for the opening. As it was right after the birth of our daughter, our communication wasn't always as constant as we would have liked, and we really appreciate her understanding.
