It's a beautiful place with beautiful people! It was great to have a chill and calm place to go after experiencing the intense and lively Rio life. At the same time there's free dance classes and social activities happening in the hostel, so it was a perfect mix for me. The work is not hard, but the communication could be improved, as expectations weren't always clear and feedback sometimes came after things were already done. But after some time there you'll understand easily how everything works and everyone is always there to help you out with anything you need:) I definitely recommend!

This place is amazing and good opportunity to learn Portuguese and Spanish. Hostel itself is cozy and you have all the facilities you need. Location is also nice, close to attractions and santa teresa. The workers of the place are welcoming and they listen your needs 😊💐🫶🏼 I recommend!

Big thank you to everyone at the hostel, they made it super comfortable and like a family environment. I am grateful to have spent a month with amazing people. There's a lot of volunteers and the hostel is big and spacious. Lapa (the neighborhood) is not the safest but the hostel brings in incredible people from the travel community. The hostel is social but not "party" a perfect balance. The tasks are always different so prepare to adapt to cleaning, reception, bartending etc, but the hours are always respected! Rio has a lot to offer, always things to do :) Thank you the hostel :)

Truly an amazing experience. The place is beautiful, with a great view of the city and a pool. The location is very central and well connected. The team treats everyone like family - kind, supportive, and always looking out for each other. You meet people from all over the world, which helps improve language skills. The work is simple, well explained, and very flexible if you have another job. They encourage local activities and hikes. Even if you're not very sociable, the people there make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommended for digital nomads and travelers.

The hostel is an amazing location to stay and volunteer at. Located in one of the most iconic neighborhoods of Rio, the house itself and the accommodation is fantastic. The shifts are very well managed and the team is fantastic, like having a second family abroad. I already miss everyone there and can recommend the hostel to anyone looking for a great volunteering experience in Rio!

Anyone who wants to experience Rio authentically should visit this hostel. It is unique and located right in front of the Feria Gloria market, which I visited every Sunday. The hostel is huge, so there's always a spot to find some privacy. You stay in a room exclusively for volunteers, usually six per room, mixed-gender. And keeping things clean in your shift but also private is taken very seriously (Theres a kitchen and bathroom only for volunteers). So, if you come to the hostel just to have a free fun time, this is not the place for you because we worked together as a team. What one person.
