I can wholeheartedly recommend volunteering at this hostel to anyone. From the very beginning, I felt incredibly welcome and at home. Daniel and the other volunteers make you feel like you’re part of a family, which is why I ended up not wanting to leave at all. I stayed for three months and only left because my visa for Mexico was expiring. We spent a lot of our free time together, doing different activities and exploring the city. The work at the hostel is enjoyable and well-balanced, and there is still plenty of free time to explore the city and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Daniel is genuinely such a warm and inviting person it was great to volunteer for him. La Cebia is in a wonderful part of the city and close to Roma Sur and Condesa which are coveted areas to hang out and explore. The hostel is definitely on the small side so not a huge social scene but the people I did meet were super lovely. Many of the volunteers spoke exclusively Spanish so it would definitely be a benefit to have strong Spanish skills here to integrate with everyone.

The hostel has such a homey feel and I felt really welcomed and integrated. The rooms and facilities are nice and the living area and kitchen are both really good. The work is all very reasonable and there are a nice variety of shifts. Dani is a very generous host and cares a lot about the hostel. The neighbourhood is really cute and feels very safe which is nice as a young woman. I have loved my time at La Ceiba! Mil gracias

I had such an amazing time at the hostel! There was a big group of volunteers while I was there, which created such a nice sense of community. Everybody was so fun and really easy to work with. The hostel itself is relaxed and there were fun social activities for the volunteers + guests like a movie night and a painting night. Daniel is super accommodating with the work hours and was also very open to feedback on how the hostel could be improved. It was also a great environment to practice my Spanish and I feel like in the month I was here, I was able to improve quite a bit :) gracias por todo!!

This was my first worldpackers experience and I came here for my friend and we had a great experience! It's a relaxing environment and since the hostel is on the newer side Daniel is very open to new ideas and improvements. The team of volunteers was so fun and definitely made this experience special. The schedule was also super accommodating to our needs.

Daniel was a very active host that put effort in getting to know the volunteers and showing us around. The hostel hosted weekly social events that the volunteers and guests took a part of. The volunteers also went out a lot and it was a lot of fun. We received weekly schedules and were able to request dates off or specific shifts in advance. The kitchen was big so we were often socializing and chilling there. Lots of common area to talk to people. Daniel was eager to make the hostel better so he often asked for feedback and what can be improved. He acted quick in purchasing new items.

My experience at the hostel was truly special and something I will never forget. During my stay there were many volunteers, and it was very easy to connect with everyone. We shared many moments together, which created a beautiful sense of community. The hostel really feels like a home, with the volunteers and with the guests, so it's easy to meet people and make new friendships. The work was clearly explained and well organized. The location is great for exploring the city. I'm grateful to Daniel for the opportunity. the hostel will always remain a place close to my heart!

The hostel was my first worldpackers experience and it was amazing. The work amount was more then reasonable and the schedule was flexible. Moreover, the work that I was supposed to do involved creativity and it was a pleasure to be there. The space is really nice and cosy and in a very good position. And, finally, the host, Daniel, is a wonderful person that will make your visit in Mexico memorable and will immerse you in the food culture of this amazing town! Definitely recommend this!
