We had such an incredible stay at the home. Louise and Richard were warm hearted, kind and generous in sharing their lovely home with us. Each day was different; we gleaned apples from the orchard, pruned trees, painted walls, weeded the strawberry patch and dusted. Working hours were respected and in the afternoons we had plenty of time to go swimming down at the river. They also showed us some beautiful swimming spots dotted all around the area, as well as great walks and markets. We never had a dull moment. It was the best workstay we could have asked for.

Our stay at the home was our first Worldpackers experience, and it couldn't have been a better start! Louise and Richard are brilliant hosts - friendly, respectful, engaging, and a lot of fun. The tasks were varied (from peeling apples to cutting down trees!) and the hours were absolutely respected. Louise and Richard took us on some beautiful trips to various swimming holes and markets, and introduced us to their local friends. We really felt like we became part of the household, learned new skills, and forged new friendships. Highly recommend — we miss the place already!

The home is set in a beautiful orchard, and we had a really lovely experience staying with them. Richard and Louise are wonderful people, and we had many really interesting conversations with them. We learned a lot from Richard, had wonderful meals together cooked by Louise, and they were also very generous with us, taking us out and showing us around the area. We stayed in a caravan outside their house. We really enjoyed this experience and would definitely recommend it

We had a great time at the home! The hosts were warm and welcoming from day 1. Richard is very kind hearted and patient in explaining every task; Louise made sure to show us around the area and welcoming and her food is magnifique! The surrounding towns and nature are incredible, we were surrounded by orchards, fig and walnut trees, grapes and even kiwis. We helped rebuilding historic stone walls, and learned a thing or two about making mortar and restoring medieval walls. Richard and Louise were the most welcoming and amazing hosts. The communication on the tasks and work was both clear and flexible. The home was gorgeous and you got to experience the French countryside while being close to the town Le Vigan. I would defiantly recommend the home to all travelers!

Louise and Richard are genuinely two of the most amazing people I have met! They make wonderful meals, are so patient when teaching you new skills and are just so kind and wonderful! They are so accommodating and recommend great activities and experiences! We had many adventures and were able to be immersed in local culture really well! It is not far from some towns but has the feel of being alone in the countryside which is very magical!

I loved the home for its charm and amazing story. Thank you for everything. The week I was able to spend with Louise and Richard was educational, exciting and unforgettable. Both are incredibly warm and open and have created a very special home in their beautiful stone house.
During the renovation work with Richard, I was able to learn many useful skills. Together we installed a new window and renovated the wall all around.
