I can't pretend my time there was perfect but it was definitely close to it. I feel like i found a home and a family in Salvador. Its a safe heaven for lgbtq+ people! The space is also very clean and with many assets, the work schedule is great and relatively flexible.

My experience in the hostel was unfortunately cut short because I had some personal responsibilities to take care of and therefore I did not spend a lot of time there. The time I did spend there was really nice, the work fairly easy and the whole team very welcoming. I wish I could have spend more time with them because the whole team is so nice and everyone tried to make me feel welcome and I would have loved to get to know them better and learn some more Portugese. We had a really nice time here. The work schedule was really flexible for us as we were painting walls. Every volunteer was really nice and the place was clean and nice too, inspiring. We met really interesting people from all around the world. The hostel is right next to the beach too, so the location and also the time we spent there was really nice. Thank you! :)

I knew it would be a good experience but I never imagined so much , from the beginning you could perceive the energy so carefully cared for and respected and worked by Inayá💛 All the people are in sync which makes living together wonderful and truly believe that things can be done differently. Extremely grateful and hoping to return !

Without a shadow of a doubt, this was the best volunteering experience of my life. casAmarElo, is a welcoming environment, exudes good energy and lightness, which brings out the best in us. Allowing us to express our creativity, I participated in a geo-tinta workshop, made crafts and even drew, lol. The hostel is one minute from the beach, bars, restaurants and a pharmacy, very well located. Schedules are respected and there is flexibility in changing shifts when needed. The team is quite united, always working in harmony.

My second time in this wonderful house!! Inayá as always, was a light that shines bright. I feel at ease to be who I am and I have more pleasure in contributing to Casa Amarelo, which is in full expansion in every way!! I highly recommend it, especially if you want to work from the inside out, to receive and be!
The activities are like any hostel I’ve stayed at, but get ready to go up and down stairs, and it’s worth it, because there are wonderful beaches right in front; in a few steps you’re already on the sand.

It was incredible! Very good. I felt very welcomed at the hostel. I will definitely return, since it's already a place that has become part of my life. The tasks and workload were fair and balanced. The host is, really, a true mother of the house. The location is perfect, very close to the beach. Many thanks to the hostel; this experience has been a very positive milestone in my life.

My experience at the hostel was incredible.
The house is super welcoming and the dynamic with the staff's restaurants, both among volunteers and guests, was very special.
I stayed on the breakfast shift, which has a fixed schedule.
The task was smooth and well explained, and within the schedule it's easy to do everything.
Inayá is a dear, very welcoming and open to communication.
The space of the house is beautiful, clean and comfortable and it is well located in Barra.
