Maintenance Volunteer – Hands-on Work (Painting, Sanding, Gardening)

We offer a private tiny house (normally rented for over $2,000/month), including a private bathroom and fridge, plus access to a shared kitchen and pool, in a peaceful tropical setting in Playa Sámara.
In exchange, we expect 24 hours of focused and responsible work per week.
We are looking for people who are used to working, take responsibility, and understand that their work directly impacts the quality of the guest experience.
This position is not suitable for travelers looking mainly for a beach stay with minimal effort. If you are not used to physical work or prefer a very relaxed pace, this will likely not be the right fit.
We value reliability, a positive attitude, and respect for the space and the team.
We also have a medium-sized dog and a cat – so being comfortable with animals is important.
You will work 5 days per week, supporting our vacation homes with practical maintenance and garden work.

If you use the shared kitchen, you are expected to clean everything thoroughly after use (dishes, surfaces, shared areas)
Punctuality and commitment are essential – agreed working hours must be respected
We expect you to be present, attentive, and proactive – noticing what needs to be done and taking initiative
Clear communication and respect for the space and team are very important
This position is designed for people who are comfortable with responsibility and used to working independently.
It is not a good fit for travelers who are mainly looking for a relaxed stay with minimal involvement.
We provide accommodation only. Meals are not included, but you will have access to a shared kitchen for self-catering.
