My experience with Raquel and Luc was very good. They are both very warm and definitely not boring. They told us many interesting stories and we had a really cool time together. I could learn a lot about languages and different cultures. The working hours were very flexible, I really enjoyed the gardening — it was also a great workout! It was also nice that we had our own privacy. They always invited us to different events, so we could experience and learn more about French culture. It was a really nice time, thank you! 😊

My time with Luc and Raquel was absolutely amazing, they treated me like family! the home was a beautiful (I dont even know if I can call it a home it was more like a castle) home with beautiful nature and view surrounding. They took me to the local markets, we tasted wines together, luc cooked amazing meals and we sipped tea at night if there is any host on this app that make you feel at home its Luc and Raquel! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to volunteer on you beautiful home!

Savannah was a pleasure to host. She’s fun, brings great energy, and has an easy sense of humor. She’s proactive, notices what needs to be done, and steps in without being asked. Always willing to help and go the extra mile, she kept a positive attitude throughout her stay. We would gladly welcome her back anytime and highly recommend her to other hosts.

My time in the home was pretty good, as Raquel and Luc were welcoming and introducing us to the area. I learned new skills, as I worked in gardening, cleaning, as the work description is. As I sit here with my Yorkshire tea and bowl of carrots ( inside joke ) I think about one of the most amazing summers at the home. I now have a 3rd family. We laughed together most nights and every day I had my music on the speaker to get us all through the hard work. When finished we would all sit together and eat. I'm a very fussy eater and I was so nervous to come as I don't like most foods but they helped me work on this and helped me try new foods so I'm not as much a fussy eater. We got picked up from the train station and since that moment it's been perfect we got shown around.

I had a great time volunteering at the home, thank you to Luc & Raquel ! The work was exactly as described: it was diverse and rewarding. In the first week, I renovated old windows, and the second week I gardened the one hectare garden. Positives: The hosts were fun, social, and welcoming. We shared every meal together. The working hours were flexible and could be adapted to you. Negatives: The house is far from attractions, and therefore it was difficult to visit without a car. The eating times were not fixed, and a lot of meat & wine were served (Difficult for Vegetarians).

Thank you for your feedback! As we mentioned before your arrival, we’re in a small, village with towns not within walking distance, though we made every effort to take you to nearby markets/shopping and cities to explore.
Meals reflected our group at the time — no vegetarians — but we accommodate dietary needs. Wine is served as is customary in France, though completely optional. Our later meal times matched our relaxed schedule, since your workdays also started later.

The Filature is a wonderful place in a wonderful area. Luc and Raquel are wonderful people in this place. It was a lot of fun for me to participate in their life for a short time and to help build their dream. I would gladly do it again. We have arranged to meet in April next year.

I had a wonderful time with Rachel and Luc, we laughed a lot and spent lovely evenings. They took us to wonderful local markets and events. We went to the river to swim. Luc always put a lot of effort into preparing a delicious culinary experience for us, and we really enjoyed that he cooked for us with passion. It was a wonderful time in the south of France!
