My experience at the host was truly unforgettable. Konstantina and stuff members were super welcoming and from the very beginning made me feel at home. The location is in the heart of city centre (2 minutes from metro station) and opportunities of spending free time are endless - I especially recommend checking nearby Exarcheia which became my favourite area :)) Tasks are easy and most of the time don't take more than agreed hours to complete. I cannot recommend this experience enough, thank you Konstantina and hope to see you again in the future! <33

My time here was fun and meaningful. The location was fantastic. The staff was helpful and kind and I learned a lot from the chef about cooking. Class days could be stressful and usually required additional prep/clean time. The booking system allows people to sign up 1 hour before class which can make planning things on your personal time difficult as you may need to be on standby. Our duties when there weren't classes were chill. The living situation was nice but the plumbing can be a big issue (this is a city-wide problem, not just this building). Overall, I would still recommend this opp :)

My experience with the host was an amazing first volunteering experience. The agreed working hours and tasks was respected, whit flexibility when you needed. This gave to me plenty of time to explore Athens, immerse myself in Greek culture, and connect whit people from all over the world. I felt welcomed throughout my stay. I'm truly grateful I chose the host for my first volunteering experience. It was unforgettable, and inspired me to continue volunteering and discovering new places.

Working at the host is an amazing experience! The work is exactly as described in the application, with food prep and cleaning being the main responsibilities. The staff is very accommodating, and you're provided with different written materials in order to get the hang of things (think guidelines). There were issues with the plumbing during my stay, however once the cause was discovered, the problem became easy to avoid. I had a great time!

I had a brilliant time with the host- everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly and all the work was super manageable and as described in the listing. The location was very central, it was easy to explore the city, meet lots of people and really immerse in the local culture. There were a few issues with the plumbing but this is to be expected anywhere in Greece.

This is a very diverse and enchanting team. They're very tight knit but immediately invite you into the fold and make you feel at home. It was truly great being embraced into Greek culture and learning so much. My favourite thing about Athens was the host Tongues! (And Andromeda x)

I had an amazing time here!! I loved to learn new recipes and cooking techniques. The chef went out of her way to teach me lots of things :). This was truly such a nice team! They were positive and encouraging. Recommending me places and food. They even shared their own food with me!:) The hours were flexible and not too much. The location is very central. Exarchia became my favorite neighborhood. I feel really lucky for my time in Athens. I hope to go back in the future:D. Thanks everyone for my first volunteer experience! I'll remember you all Lots of love ~Mijs

My time at the host was a truly beautiful experience. I helped during the Greek cooking classes, where I learned a lot about traditional recipes and local flavors, while also helping keep the space organized and clean. Tina, her husband Alex, and the whole team welcomed me with open arms from the very first moment, and it was also lovely to meet their beautiful baby. One of my favorite moments was having breakfast on the balcony outside, enjoying the morning sun on the street before the day began. I made friends there and shared many wonderful moments along the way. After spending time at

I learned about Greek food and culture. The work was simple and everyone was nice. I was the first volunteer to help with class, so things were rocky for a bit, but by the end it was easy just time consuming. One hour to prep for class wasn't enough. Usually it took 2-3 hours per class, so I ended up working about 7 hours if I was alone and wanted to get everything done that day. Definitely some housekeeping to do as Konstantina likes to have friends over. Be proactive about communciation! Konstantina is busy so you may have to remind her about things a couple times. Lots of stuff to do nearby

Dear Shiann, you came at a time when everything was still taking shape, and communication played a key role in developing our new setup. Your time with us helped us improve scheduling for future volunteers. Housekeeping remains our number one priority, as discussed, and the kitchen/dining area is free to use when not in class use, as utilized by other WP always - even when other people come over for business gatherings. We have enjoyed your company and wish you all the best moving forward.

I believe Konstantina needs to do the NonViolentCommunication course. The room I had was full of mosquitos and spiders (even with the mosquito repellent). When I got to the room, they had put a bed that was unstable and by the week I had to sleep on the floor. The classes I only did with another volunteer, so to me it was enough time to divide the tasks. The reason I give this one star is because Konstantina threatened to kick me out because ONE DAY! I needed to rest. No kidding. + I was always super helpful. I had to leave bc this treatment was not good for my mental health and bc the room.

Dear Lucia, the schedule was agreed fairly, with flexibility for your birthday and proper notice given when your help was needed, along with rest time the day before. The mosquito issue was handled immediately, and spiders are not a general issue here. Given the tone of your review, we encourage a more constructive communication approach. Lastly, leaving without notice impacted our ability to maintain our service standards. Thank you for your time with us, and we wish you smoother experiences.
