It was amazing to spend these days at the hostel, the host Bernardo and Claudete welcomed me very well, Claudete gave me many tips on places to visit in São Luís, breakfast is wonderful, the best cake in the world is made by rose. Rose and shirley are employees of the Hostel, they are the light of the space, wonderful, always available to listen to us and make the days at the Hostel be fun, the best, making you want to stay. My experience at the hostel was very special! I was warmly welcomed by Rose and Shirlei, who have always been so sweet to me. The hostel has a great location, near Feirinha de São Luís, Mercado das Tulhas and Centro Roots. The tasks are calm and the hours are flexible. I believe the experience can improve with a more aligned communication between hosts and volunteers. I thank Mr. Bernardo, Mrs. Claudete and Laura for introducing me to Maranhão culture. I highly recommend the hostel and, without a doubt, I would return to live this experience again.

Two weeks of peace and quiet have passed; the hostel is very calm, super clean and organized, and the tasks are also very easy. The volunteers feel very comfortable and the hostel staff are great. I didn't meet the host, but his daughter, who is in charge, is very helpful and flexible.

It was awesome staying there, the hostel has a great setup, the tasks are fairly easy, I stayed at the reception but there is the cleaning part to help Shirley, a fixed employee there (a sweetheart). The host Bernardo wasn't very present during my stay, but I missed an explanation about the system; other than that, everything was great, I met incredible people that I will carry with me for life, I am very grateful for my stay there.

It was a lot of fun volunteering at the Hostel da Fonte. From afar, the Hostel da Fonte has the best facilities in the city and an impressive view from the terrace.
